Hello All,

I'm trying to make a fluffy, semi-competitive army list.

The idea is that most of my army is possessed by daemons (maybe i can tweak it to make everything daemons... help me out with this^^)

So here we go:

HQ:

Sorcerer [165]
- Prophet of the voices
- Spell familiar
- Gift of mutation
- Mastery level 3

He, as you might expect, goes with the 14 possessed. Because he is an daemon, he can you malific demonology without penalties. This opens up some nice summoning and protection abilities (if i roll cursed ground). The reason why i didn't give him a mark is because I want 3 rolls on the malific power table instead of 1 god + 2 malific.


Sorcerer [210]
- Daemonheart
- Bike
- Gift of mutation
- Spell familiar
- Sigil of corruption
- Mastery level 3

The hard hitting sorcerer, toughness 5, 2+/4++ save. he rolls 3x on the biomancy table to buff himself to even higher levels. Mark of nurgle would be great, but that means that i would have 1 less biomancy power and I do not know is that would be worth it. He goes with the chaos spawns

Troops

Possessed x14 [364]

You run of the mill possessed with a new shiny table to roll on. No marks to save some points

Chaos space marines x5 [120]
- Melta gun
- Rhino

I don't know what to do with these, on the one hand they can keep up with my army, on the other hand i don't feel like they belong like this in the list.... any suggestions?


Fast

Chaos spawn x5 [180]
- mark of nurgle

Chaos spawns with the mark of nurgle always worked for me, they are fast, hit hard and with a biomancy sorc in them i think they will be great.

Heldrake [170]
- baleflamer

Even with the nerf to heldrakes baledrakes are still awesome

Heldrake [170]
- Hades autocannon

Not so happy with this heldrake, but i need some anti air/transport capability in this list....


Heavy support

Maulerfiend
- magma cutters

Maulerfiend

Fast, hit reasonable hard, tougher with the new damage table, would want to give at least 1 tenticles, but i dont have the points


So there we have it, my first draft, hopefully you guys (and girls) will like it.

Any suggestion will be appreciated but please try to keep them into the fluff of this list.

you wont have one less spell you just get nurgle rot auto, you can still get 3 spells from bio and the primacy without any problem its says they get it auto in conjunction, it doesn't count against you

Don't forget, if you devote your Sorcerers to a single table, they get the Primaris for free (4 powers each). If you wanted extra points, I would drop the GoM from your bike Sorcerer (rather than be gifted by the Gods with daemonhood, he wears the armour with one).

I agree that your CSM squads appear out of place. Although you have four OS units, they are fairly fragile if you're going to claim tactical objectives rather than endgame objectives. I have a (dis)similar list, and I would suggest swapping one CSM squad + Rhino and add some Chaos Cultists---if they are close to your 'Malefic' Sorcerer, you can use them as Sacrifice fuel. Use the extra points (along with the GoM) to get Lashers for the Maulerfiends and buff either of your squads.

Chaos Marks require at least one spell, and up to half, taken from the respective Chaos God.

I was thinking (always a dangerous thing to do..)

If i would remove the two space marines units and replaced them with a helcult.

-Plasma cannon.

13x cultists
14x cultists

This wat i would still have some firepower, an additionel walker and 2 fearless objective claimers.

This is funny but.. you can go Sanctic with your Chaos Sorcerer that just has a Spell Familiar and is not a Daemon.

Give your Possessed the Icon of Excess.

Cast Hammerhand on them to get +2 STR

Cast Sanctify and Cursed Earth to give them +2 to their invulnerable.

They treat all terrain as Dangerous but who cares unless thy roll beast then they ignore it. Or you know , you can give them Hammer hand.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.

Very cool list! The helcult would fit nicely. BUT it is a formation, meaning the two squads of cultists do NOT count as troop choices in your primary FOC. So if you replace your marine squads with cultists, they cannot be the helcult formation squads.

I would like to try this kind of list, but have severe reservations about the survivability of possessed. Maybe backed up by belakor and invisibility, and some allied horrors for more warp charge.

Codex says you must roll one power from the specific god table. So you still have to roll.
