I've just bought a compressor/airbrush etc and am yet to use it. I don't want to use GW paints through it since they're apparently not suitable. Which yellows and blues would you recommend using for the Iyanden scheme?

Also would you airbrush the aspect warriors, or just hand paint those? The Striking Scorpions seem like they'd be fine hand painted but the others have a lot more flat armor which is more suitable for the airbrush.

Thanks for your help.

That's a myth! Any paint is suitable along as its properly thinned, your looking for the consistancy of semi skinned milk, I would recommend using a proper acrylic thinner for airbrushes though, Vallejo and liquitex are both popular and relatively easy to obtain. With GW paints if I know it's a base colour I'll use regularly ill mix it in a empty dropper bottle and cut it with the thinner so it's ready to use. For everything else I just mix in the cup to 50:50 paint and thinner. Thinner first then add paint by brush to mix and test spay before hitting a model if it's to thin add more paint, to thick add more thinner.
The only dedicated paints I've had to get are the Vallejo model airbmetallics.
As for the aspects a base colour from the airbrush wouldn't hurt then paint as normal
Most important advice is don't start spraying a model before practising with your airbrush on some old paper just to get a feel of how your airbrush works at different pressures etc.

You're after the paint number 71.032 (Golden Brown) to match Averland Sunset; assuming that's the colour you want to base coat your models. There's no Model Air equivalent to Yriel Yellow, so you'd need to look to other airbrush paint lines (e.g. Minitaire) or thin another paint.

Brewermike is techincally correct; however most people with whom I've spoken do not like to use GW paints in their airbrush, I myself prefer Model Air as well, it's just easier to use
