Hey I am starting a Necron army and as of now I only have the Battle force. Here is the list I was thinking of as a starting army.

Destroyer lord

5x deathmarks

15x warriors in night scythe x 2
10x warriors in ghost ark

3x scarab's
5x wraiths with 2 having whip coils

1x Doomsday ark

Let me know what you would do differently

I'd ditch the Doomsday Ark and get 1 or 2 Annihilation Barges instead for Heavy Support. The DDA might look good on paper, but it can't move without severely nerfing the gun, so its sort of a sitting duck.

3 Scarabs wont do you much without a Spyder or 2, so I'd just start packing away whatever scarabs you get from your boxes until you can build a "scvrab farm", and at that point think about getting a Spyder or 2.

Ok so scratch the scarabs and the doomsday ark and add 2x annihilation barges with one destroyer flying solo to use yhe last 40pts?

For 40 points Instead of a Destroyer, I'd personally add another Wraith, and if that left me 5pts short on my army list, I'd give one of the Wraiths a pistol.

Wraiths come in boxes of 3, so if you went the GW route you'd end up with 6 Wraiths anyway.

I agree with jasper, wraiths are awesome, especially in a tesseract labyrinth/whip coil squad
