Several weeks back, came to thinking of creating an Aspiring Champion for my future Khorne Berserker's & it came as a simple ideal...

Give him a mutated head... But then it got me thinking, why not make him look like a true loyal Khorne fuelled killing entity, and so after gathering bits from online and temporary work shop (dining room lol) began by cutting and chipping down all the parts.



After preparing the many bits, they were finally prepared to began being glued. As normal, started with the two main sections which were the legs & torso.



As seen above, have decided to use Rapter/Warp Talon legs to make him look all the more fierce with the "Hiding behind cover? Guess again!" movement posture. His torso using a Possessed Chaos Space Marine to show that his devotion to the blood god is greater then normal Khorne Berserker's.

Now once the glue had set on the parts (After nearly becoming one with the torso.....four times lol), then started to gluing the torso to the legs. Once that stage had being done, decided to glue the head onto the body.



Several minutes passed as waiting for the head to glue, went over the other bits that were awaiting to join the model. After an hour later of gluing, swearing as glue nearly attached me physically to the model on few more occasions, The Aspiring Champion was 100% glued together and here are the angles to show.






Although the model is glued, awaiting for the final part to arrive to make this model complete... Green Stuff & Liquid Green Stuff to do a small bit of work on his left shoulder area to make the last effect before he is ready to be taken to be sprayed....

As left off, was waiting for the liquid green stuff to arrive in mail and it eventually did, once it had arrived I began to get to work!



After a few hours of layering & waiting on drying time, had eventually gotten the left arm to look more the part of mutation effects. Do apologise in advance that they maybe very slightly blurry but the green stuff is visible and focus on edges of left shoulder connection to torso and actually on the shoulder itself.




After this green stuff was complete and this was my first ever attempt of green stuff usage, I had a big rest and a large pat on back for the work.... Next steps is the spray paint & begin painting this model...

Really cool. It's a simple conversion but it has some awesome results. Can't wait to see it painted and I can tell he is going to make some blood spill.

Nearly finished painting him today Just got to do the washes and the fine detail adding and he will be 100% done, going to get images of him pre wash as only given head and torso first wash layer

Also due to no images today, going to give a bonus image of a conversion CSM Terminator Champion that being working along side of the khorne berserker one

Very nice work dude, I'm not 100% convinced about the head, but I'll leave off making my mind up until I've seen him painted. Other than that its a cool conversion and I can't wait to see him finished.

Thank you tomcat31 Aye the head was to be the only mutation on there, but decided to make him more "psychotic Khorne Fuelled" berserker, so got myself some possessed space marine bits ( torso and left arm ).

used liquid green stuff (as seen in image) to remove the line to make it look if the mutation from torso is spreading to connect to the left hand (mutated claw)

Nice work - though that particular head and claw choice makes me think more of Slaanesh than Khorne. Maybe the painted version will change it up. Keen to see how he turned out!

All can say is... He is Khorne through and through! lol

Here is the second to last section of the model in this blog

There are two main parts of this conversion model, the model itself and the base that is attached to its left foot, the main model itself has being 100% painted and without washes added, took some photos to show how it looked before it had its washes applied.





After a little while from taking these photos, decided to buckle down and complete the model section of the two sections.

Must say in own views of it, managed to make one part of the model become realistic looking by method did towards it which will point out when photo comes
But now for you all to see the final result of the main model painted and washed.



Now this photo to appear next is the most realistic muscle I've ever painted & having someone in the house who has seen the real deal in muscles wise (medical profession), they said themselves it looked like the real thing and sickly as looking to it.




So there was the second to last section of this Blog done, now to work on the base next to hopefully become completed before Friday emerges (depending on time allowance)

P.S. As a small bonus to the Blog, also being doing along side this Khorne Berserker, a Terminator Champ that had being conversion work done to him as well using arms from my Chaos Terminator Lord (both arms have legal weapons can be used by normal terminators) and the head with an unusual twist to it

Do feel free to guess what the head was crafted out of give clue, was in same box as the terminators

Aiming for Friday 13th to finish the Khorne berserker Blog (And Vlog version for people prefer that) and be ready for its full effect as even base will show its belief in Khorne

Friday the 13th.... Khorne Berserker Aspiring Champion is finally 100% done with base too. So here he is personally with how much bloodshed he can cause.
