Just watched a cool Norwegian movie called Flucht. It was a really exciting, atmospheric "escape from your Viking captors" movie, with awesome scenery, and with the added bonus of seeing super-cvlt Gaahl from Gorgoroth get smoked by a 12 year old girl.

Anyway, it was a good movie.

I’ve generally been impressed with Norwegian cinema. If it ever makes it to netflix, I’ll check it out.

Its actually on Netflix (that's how I discovered it).

If you haven't yet seen Valhalla Rising, that's another good one, also available on Netflix...can't remember if its Norwegian, but pretty certain its Scandanavian, even though what little dialogue it has is in English.

I found it under “escape.” On the list now, as is Valhalla Rising.

Thinking back at the other Norwegian films I’ve seen, they were a little on the quirky/campy side. These two seem more serious then Iron Sky, Dead Snow, and Troll Hunter.

Oh yeah...both of these flicks don't have much to offer in terms of comic relief...or any relief really...pretty intense stuff.
