DARK ELDAR:
Baron Sathonyx
3 x 5 Wyches
(Haywire Grenades)
3 x Venoms
( Extra SC)
Beast pack
( 10 Khymerae, 4 Razorwing Flocks, 4 Beastmasters)
3 x Reavers
2 x Ravagers
ELDAR:
Farseer
(Bike, Shard)
2 x Waveserpents
(w/ Scatter Laser)
2 x 5 Dire Avengers
1 x Wraithknight
Baron, beasts and Farseer stick together, everything else skimmers around getting tacticals and killing stuff. Any feedback appreciated.

What does the Farseer really add to this army? Granted, he gives the unit Fearless, but an Autarch could provide the same and provide more hitting power. The Farseer gives you 3 Warp Charges; in many cases the Farseer will not get any powers off.

I'm hoping someone will comment on the wych sqds in venoms. Are they viable at only 5 strong (understand they make good tank hunters, which seems odd given their background). I picked up a box of wyches to add a DE allied force to my ghostwarriors and thought about the same loadout (love the venom), but wondering if survivable. I guess they could be sent against small sniper scout sqds etc. Otherwise, would a Raider be better suited for them?
My plan was to add the Baron, 2 wych sqds in venoms, 3 reavers and 5 hellions. Give my Wraithguard a fast force for seizing objectives etc.
Sorry to hijack thread but hoping someone will chime in on this aspect of the OP's army.

Overall, the list looks pretty solid. For changes/improvements, I'd suggest:
Drop down to two squads of wyches. They're great, but I often find them without a good target with only two squads at 2000 pts. Three is probably overkill.
Take the third venom and add 3 trueborn with blasters, they're only about 20 pts more than the wyches and will always have something to do.
Add one upgrade for the reavers (recommend the blaster or heat lance).
Drop down the beastpack size some to get the points needed.
I don't have much experience with farseers or wraithknights, but I know they're decent at worst case.

I will try this alteration out at some point. Thanks.

I've tried Wyches in raider sized squads and in venoms. Both have their pros and cons but I find 5 man squads are enough to blow up a vehicle or pin down a squad for a turn in CC. The larger squads just take up too many pts and still die just as fast.

I agree the Autarch is a beast but for 30 pts more I can (potentially) substantially improve my army with divination or the Eldar powers. Fortune on the beastpack, Prescience on the ravagers/Wraithknight, misfortune on 3+/4+ armor saves are all reasons to take him.

I am aware of the buffs a Farseer can provide. But only if you can cast them. You have 3 + d6 warp charges. Nearly every army I have faced is running 10-20 Warp Charges at this points level. If you are mainly facing armies with zero psychic defense then I can see a need for the Farseer. If not the Farseer gets shut down.

No I don't face armies with that many Deny chances. This is something to consider though. More data is required. If the Farseer starts getting shutdown as you say, then I can swap for Autarch. Thanks.

Having only three reavers is a waste. They'll die very quickly. I'd try to fit at least 6.

I would give your new list a shot. IIRC, if you put a Banshee Mask on your Autarch, the entire unit he assaults has their Initiative reduced. This may/may not be overly useful depending on what you normally play against. The Shard of Anaris is what I would consider mandatory to add to the Beastpack.
I do like that the list still has a bit of MSU mixed with some higher pointed units creating a bit of a balanced TAC list. Let us know how it fares.

Farseer would be better to be honest, the Beastpack is going to be hitting first as they are Initiative 6 and the Baron has a Phantasm Grenade Launcher giving them all Assault Grenades.
If you get the Farseer and roll Invisibility they will be a nightmare for anyone to deal with.
The Autarch really isn't adding anything unless you are going to use reserves.
As someone else mentioned, 3 Jetbikes is pretty pointless, 6 really is the minimum otherwise they will just die too easily.
Everything else looks good to me.

Well there's debate about the farseer, not only on this thread but from other people. He might get denied too easily with the new psyker rules. He served me well in 6th ed so I will definitely try him out again.
I know the bikes are inadequate for any damage (I usually use 18 of them) but they are cheap objective grabbers/linebreakers. At 1850 I would increase them to 6.
Thanks for the input.

He gets denied sure, but your not always going to face psyker armies. Plus you will likely be getting a 4+ or 5+ deny the witch against shooting attacks with him in the unit.

Yes those were my initial thoughts on the Farseer. Even just casting invisibility and nothing else he would be worth it.
