A few interesting things here for 2nd edition 40k that I'll be play-testing over the summer. Thought I should share. Input from veterans welcome!

Can't open the link from where I am at, but I did want to jump in here and say awesome regarding 40k 2nd ed. I still remember the day i got that box set for my birthday (gift from my sister) and I was so excited. I was already knee deep into Epic, but really didnt like Rogue Trader and the mess it was with rules spread out over tons of books and White Dwarf articles. That box set was so complete for its day, and we played the hell out of it.

And, I would also like to say I still have it. With smallish but playable armies for Space Marines, Orks, Eldar, old school Tyranids, and some Chaos, and SQUATS! Pretty nice Squat collection.

This set sits right next to my Necromunda box set. Those two sets make a really colorful universe that, despite how cool the miniatures have become over the years, seems to have been lost by GW. Its all serious now. Back then there was some comedy.

I ditched every other edition of 40k I have bought, except for DV, which I think is a great set too. There is something about 2nd though that keeps me from moving on. Nostalgia probably. I did play a ton more games with that edition than I have any other.

Enjoy your sessions!

I play a lot of 2nd ed and those rules are pretty darn useful. Especially the Killa Kan. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
