Excellent! Great improvement of the original. I cannot fathom how the same company that makes awesome kits like the Valkyre, Doom Scythe and Crimson Hunter can also be the same company that makes turkeys like the Taurox and the Storm Raven.

That is a great looking conversion.
I really like all of the stowage on the sides, as well as the top hatch.
Top notch work.
I look forward to seeing it painted.

Now that is a great job, GW should take note on how it should be done!
Can I ask what size those wheels are, and where you got them from? I have an idea for a Battlewagon conversion that has been stalled for years due to not having the right wheels for it, and they look spot on design wise, I just need them to be correct in size.

Definite improvement. Still seems like the wheels would ground out if it ran over a pebble, though. If only those fenders were separate parts... They really didn't make it easy on modelers.

Hey, thanks guys for your comments!
Conrad Turner; the wheels are from Chapter House Studios, which you can see here:
http://chapterhousestudios.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=77&product_id=221
They're 26mm in diameter by 11mm thick, pretty good value too at $6 for 4 of them, I cut extra treads into them with my hacksaw to add a little extra surface detail to them.
Oadie; yeah separate fenders would have been ideal, it took me a while to pluck up the courage to shorten them in case I made a mess of it, it would have helped also if I hadn't glued the top and bottom hull pieces together too, doh! I'll be adding plasticard mud guards to the rear as well to round off the overall look

Nice half-track conversion. I like it much better than the original model.
You might want to consider putting stepladders at the side and rear doors as the ground clearance on these things is crazy. I've seen it done on another, similar conversion and it really did seem to improve the look of the model.
Only other thing I can think of is some sort of ploug/bullbar to protect the vehicle from being damaged by whatever/whoever it'll be running down.
I hope you'll consider these ideas but either way, nice job.
Peace

Brometheus: LOL, ouch!
Xendarc: cheers mate!
I'm actually waiting on the steps from the scout landspeeder storm to arrive to replace the retractable ladders that come with the Taurox as I think they'd look much better. The ground clearance as you say is pretty crazy, its slightly taller than I would have liked but that's down I think to the size of the wheels I used and also because I used the existing rear track suspension unit.
I'm also going to use the bullbars that come with the model, I just left them off at this point so I can paint the front grill properly.
Thanks for your kind words guys!

Thanks for that vikingChild. Looks like I'll need at least 3 sets of those, but they're listed as "Pre-order" now. I'll keep an eye open for when they are back in stock.
Can't wait to see what you are going to do next.

Very nice, much improvement on the thoroughly hopeless GW model, I was thinking of looting one myself to use as a big trakk with a supa kannon pr a big zzappa.
