Hello. I have had reservations about joining Dakka Dakka for a long time. I am on several forums some of which I have been on for a very long tim, though I might have not been as active as I should have. But long story short I am looking for a solid Ork community. I have been reading the Orks Rumor thread here and that prompted me to decide to join. I think I see some names I remember from the waaagh forum.
I don't know what to expect from this forum but I plan to give it a good read.
About myself.
I have been playing 40K sense 2nd. and playing Orks sense 3ed. Out of every army I have ever played the Orks are by far the army I enjoy the most. I don't as yet know how many points I have collected or painted.

So what had you heard about Dakka Dakka that caused your delay in joining? Was it loads of negative posts and complaining by chance?

Mostly I had read local drama that had spilled over to here, a few years ago now. A gamer playing darkeldar had...personality issues with some other gamers that I know.


I didn't know that guy and am not sure of the issues but they compared him to a guy I do no who has been band from every game shop in North East FL. So I could see why they would take issue with that guy.

Aside from that I didn't see any posts related to Orks over the last few wears, although I did see some very cool Battle reports but it seemed that no one had anything really at all to post about them.
I did find myself directed here via Google while looking at pictures of Ork related stuff . I have been following the new codex rumors and decided finally to join.

Over the last few years I fell out of playing 40k and more or less stuck with the painting side of the house. I manages maybe 15 games in 6th edition. I think I have lost my competitive edge during 5th edition, just before 6th rolled out.
