Hello. My name refers to my Dark Eldar Army: The Rathii Syndicate (an organisation of lesser Kabals, Cults and Covens). They are still a work in process. I will post pictures once I figure out how my camera works. I have played shocking few gamesof Warhammer, but have played those few games across fifteen years in which I have been deeply immersed in the backstory. I find Warhammer Fantasy to be a better game, but for 40k to have the better mythology behind it. When I first started playing and hearing about the game I was interested in the psychology and armour modifier elements of the game. When I started playing 40k (6th ed.) it was to find those elements significantly reduced. Boo! I strongly favour my own "edition" of 40k which I am currently calling "Homefront" (home=house/ house rules. Do you know what I mean?) It is seemingly an endless work-in-progress. Nevermind.
My first 40k army was Dark Eldar, quickly followed by Marines. After that I got into Warhammer Fantasy and played Skaven (a mistake to follow Marines because they play so differently), I have a Lizardman army, an Ogre horde, a Bretonnian force (unfinished) and a Dwarf army as well as the Fantasy Orks; Imperial Guard and Tau leftovers I inherited from my mate and my brother when they respectively stopped playing. Most of my energies are currently tapped toward finishing up my Rathii Syndicate, after which I will tidy up a few Necromunda gangs so I can play against my friend.
I am very interested in meeting people to play against and am always up for a decent debate (debate, not argument/ flame war) in regards to armies' strengths/weaknesses. To try and get the ball rolling: does anyone else think it is great how the introduction of the Tau has broken up the Chaos/Imperium thing that sapped so much energy from the franchise?
When I next have some disposable income to enjoy, I will go for Space Orks. I would love a heavily mechanised force of these nuttas, with at least one Dreadnaught and three Killa Kans. The Tyranids are cool, but I would only favour them for Battlefleet Gothic not 40k.

Welcome to Dakka great to see more kiwis on the boards!

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...

We go for the eyes.

Then we skin the crippled remains.
