Hi I'm a new player and my friend is introducing me to kill team (heralds of ruin rules) i was just wondering if i could get any help about picking some good options with any of these armies,
if so what would be a good semi competitive army and units? (ANY ARMY build suggestions pls)
the rules are below-

http://heralds-of-ruin.blogspot.com.au/p/kill-team-rules.html

since I'm the underdog i get 250pts i was told, instead of the regular 200pts.

Any help would be great, thanks in advance!

blood angels

5 sternguard
1x missile
4x bolters

4 d.co marines
4xbolters

you got like 15 points spare to play with go wild..... d.co can use the bolters and still charge due to relentless and sternguard with their special ammo are versatile... the guy with the missile is to deal with any rhino's ect. that might come along

i'll add something for chaos, eldar and orks too if you like fairly experienced with them as well.

We are the sons of Sanguinius, the protectors of Mankind. Aye, we are indeed the Angels of Death.

It's a really cool set of rules, and my local group are running a tournament that is using the campaign rules for leveling up and gaining XP.

As for a list, the guy who is in my group that plays Eldar uses the following:

Shining Spear Exarch - Hit and Run, Plasma Grenade, Star Lance, Runes of Wrath and Runes of Deception - 82
Ranger - 12
Dark Reaper - 30
Swooping Hawk - 15
War Walker - 1 Star Cannon, 1 Scatter Laser - 55
War Walker - 1 Star Cannon, 1 Scatter Laser - 55
Total: 249

2 war walkers... that's pretty brutal but from what i remember of kill team you don't get access to heavy support....

i'll check tho

{edited}

checked it's

1 elite
2 troops
1 fast attack
also 200 pts not 250

so following this i'd prob run
6 avengers standard
6 bikes with 2 cannons each...

use the s6 shooting to take out light tanks of heavier infantry (other bikes, plague marines, d.co ect)
avengers are pretty versatile in dealing with infantry helps soooooo much with having potential AP2

You can't just take 1 model from a squad in killteam. You're still obliged to meet the requirements of unit composition, so no 1 reaper and 1 ranger. Besides, Heavy support is not allowed and HQ is not allowed either. And even so, your war walkers are a huge overkill since they can kill just 1 model a time. Now imagine going against 30 ork boyz backed with some koptas or stuff.

I think you should just read through the rules first. It's gona take less than 20 min.

For eldar, best killteam unit are usually jetbikes. Fast, tough, shooty, cheap.

However, maybe heralds of ruin is something else...

Heralds of Ruin is a separate rule set that is much more campaign focused and allows the purchase of single models.

The list given earlier is brutal. Things to watch out for would be GK and Tau, both of whom pack high power long ranged weapons and absurd mobility, but they should be manageable, if tough match ups.

Good luck.

My $0.02, which since 1992 has rounded to nothing. Take with salt.

This one. It has firepower, mobility, speed, and is decently hard to shift. 3+ armour, 4+ armour, AV values and cover saves. I might have swapped the ranger, but thats simply a personal thing, as they don't work well in small numbers (hit on 3's, wind on 4's), lucky rends can be nice, but yeah, just my opinion. You really couldn't go wrong playing this list.
