In the book, under allied detachment, the graphic shows more optional slots than the text does. The graphic shows up to 3 elites, while the text only shows 1. Which is right, and why?

There is NO SUCH THING as MORE ADVANCED in 40k!!! There are ONLY 2 LEVELS of RULES: Basic and Advanced. THE END. Stop saying "More Advanced". That is not a recognized thing in modern 40k!!!!

Not sure tbh. Pic says one, text says another, went to the 6th BRB as well to see if it differs and that one lists 1 for all but troops of which you can have 2

Which page is this?
I'm looking at my book, page 122 of a physical copy and it shows 1 on the picture and 1 in text.

If I sound like I'm being a condescending butthole, I'm not. Read my reply as neutrally as possible, please and thank you.

iBook version shows 2 HQ, but text says 1.
Elites and text are both 1.

The Text is correct.

The image is clearly a cut and paste job used by all the Detachments, making it highly possible that it could of been pasted in the wrong location. As a default image, the number of slots are identical to the Combined Arm Detachment and a few other Detachments that have been made available, with the exception of one or two very unique ones. Should this image be correct then there would be no point in having an Allied Detachment, as it would function exactly the same as the Combined Arms Detachment with the 'benefit' of additional restrictions.

8th made it so I can no longer sway Tau onto the side of Chaos, but they will eventually turn aside from their idea of the Greater Good to embrace the Greatest of pleasures.

This isn't true. Unlike the combined arms detachment, both the graphic and the text of the allied detachment only requires 1 troop choice. This makes a difference.

I will need to review it again, was going off memory of what it looked like, in a few hours.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Reviewed and it has been altered to the default, but I do see why I overlooked it going from memory alone. The picture is still the default layout of a Force Organization Chart, found in the section which explains what Detachments look like, with a single branch having been removed. Everything else is exactly the same as default, which fails to match the text and the previous way that Allied Armies have functioned.

Given that the text matches what was previously normal for Allies, it is pretty obvious the picture is in error.

Is that in the Printed version?

In the printed BRB the picture and text match.

Mandatory: 1HQ 1 Troop
Optional: 1 Troop 1 Elite 1 Fast Attack 1 Heavy Support

and the text should match in the ibook version, though I've seen people before comment that the picture in the book is messed up.

I can confirm that the iBook version has the correct text, but the picture shows an extra optional HQ choice.

I will confirm that my printed copy has 1 "Box" of each apart from 2 "Troops" and matches the text...
