Hey all, I'm expanding my usual 1500 point list for a fairly competitive 1850 point tournament at the end of the month and am looking for some feedback on my list. I don't want to buy any new models so this is what I've come up with (I also don't think I'd be able to look at myself in the mirror if I used more than 3 wave serpents!). I'm not sure about the guardian blob as I usually play aggressively with a mobile army but I thought it might be useful to have a sit and score unit with a 2+ cover save (assuming the warlock doesn't kill himself). The tournament only allows one main and one allied detachment so sadly I can't just take another farseer and load up on heavy support choices.

The other options are putting in some double bright lance walkers, expanding the bike squad or beefing up on vehicle upgrades etc (though as I like to use wave serpents as gunships I don't know if there's much point paying for holo fields). Anyway let me know your thoughts!

If your going with a guardian blob, you generally want a leadership modifier. Sitting on the back of the board with Ld8 will see your guardians turn tail and run. A seer, or even certain phoenix lords make great babysitters and support buffs. The other thing is that they NEED heavy weapons, and you ideally want 20 to get 2.

Holo fields are still useful if you absolutely need the jink save, and having a 6+ cover for moving is better than nothing.

Prisms took a major hit in effectiveness now that you have to snap shoot to get a jink save. I would consider the walkers, or maybe a nightspinner which can hide from sight.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Thanks! I'll play around with it and see what I can fit in with the models I've got.

Spirit stone is a little less useful imo than it used to be. Although I've had limited uses with it I'll admit.

Serling is correct, up the blob to 20, put a higher leadership model in there with them.

I've found 7 warp spiders to be a nice sweet spot, might consider dropping one.

Drop the fire prisms and take 2 squads of 2 war walkers with 2 bright lances each. Gives you significantly more reliability in terms of numbers of shots. You have plenty of mid strength guns already with the serpents, now you need some maneuverable anti tank weaponry.

Huh I think the spirit stone of Analathen got much better.

Devastating Dark Reaper

The spirit stone of Anath'lan is THE single most broken tool the Eldar have these days. All I'm saying is that a single farseer can summon three units of "Ancestor Spirits " a turn like it's nothing.

So you have a seer council that spawns daemons? gg

Otherwise sanctic has some high end powers to cast, or even runes of fate while rolling for doom and fortune, all have high level powers that would love to be cast for a single success.

If you're taking an Aegis, might I recommend some Dark Reapers with a fast shot Exarch manning an Icarus Lascannon.

I too would drop the fire prisms.. they're too indecisive to be effective.

A spiritseer, with dark reapers and an icarus would make an outstanding backfield addition.

Death is just the beginning, for those who walk the path of Valhalla. Flesh is the stuff of the enemy, transcend it, for only in spirit are the Eldar truly eternal.
