if you put some armour on the sides of the ramp, that will give a back 'wall' for the trukk. Or alternatively attach the back armour to the main trukk body (i.e so it doesn't hinge down with the ramp), but there's something appealling about the entire back of the trukk being a hinged ramp. (For my own trukk, I may make the sides and back hinge down. The design of the standard upper side armour kind of implies something in that direction, but not enough for my taste.)

by the way, Ein, how secure is your gluing of plasticard to Lego plastic? From my own experience, although it does stick, it's not a proper 'melted plastic' bond like you get with normal plastic and so not so strong - the Lego plastic is a different composition. Or are you using superglue?

Clang: I use superglue for that sort of stuff, doesn't give me any trouble.

I have been busy as all hell with something of an early spring cleaning, even though the frost on my window is making it perfectly clear to me that calling it that is wishful thinking. Still, I've been able to put up a number of shelves and lights and generally improve my working area over the past day and a half or so, which was a nice break from the project. I also had the chance to grab some styrene tubing in abundance this morning, and so when my workspace was sort've clear-ish, I tried to finish the back end of the trukk up a bit. Here's what I came up with.

You'll notice I stuck with the boarding plank. This is half because I want to make sure I have it represented on the model, because it sounds like such a fun upgrade, and half because the way it looks grew on me a bit. I capped the legos off with a sort of bumper, smacked a lightning bolt on each, added some beefy exhaust pipes and other worky-looking tubes, and riveted it all up. I also added a license plate of sorts just underneath the ramp - my battlewagon had a license plate (DED 'ARD) and this will certainly have to have one marked D4KK4.

I think I'm going to leave the rollbar at the midsection of the trukk be. I kept picturing a rollbar system, but I don't think the trukk needs it and the more I load onto it, the less speedy it looks.

I actually think it's damn near done, save for perhaps the addition of some exhaust stacks up around the cabin area and a few touchups in select spots. Handholds on the outside, too.

Remember "Jase and the Wheeled Warriors?" All you had to do was put a Wrecka Ball on the front of the truck and it would be "K-O Kruizer!" That is Bad-Ass! When I was younger I used one of the K-O Kruiser toys for an Ork Trukk even. Awwww the memories!

Nice! Nice twist, leaving out the radiator and doing a kustom front end. The track arrangement was a great compromise, and the addition of the smaller guide rollers makes it look great.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Da Southern New Hampshire!

:O Breathtaking! Especially how you made the track guards' details match the details on the model!
