If both SMF becoming a save and Kill Points make it into the final rules, there's no longer any reason to take two foot Farseers instead of Eldrad.

Was there ever any reason to do that? I wasn't aware.

Playing Iyanden or having forces spread across the board by necessity (Altaioc army) make having more than one seer a good idea. Low points-value games make having one of them be Eldrad less attractive. I'm more responding to Stelek here than stating my own opinion- I'd rather than have Eldrad than two toher seers any day.

However, Eldrad plus another seer seems over the top to me. I'd rather position my forces carefully and spend more points on troops than add another Farseer- unless it's a jetbike seer to make up for Eldrad's lack of mobility.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I'll be honest, I only read the first page of this thread so forgive me if I go back to a past issue. Multiple glancing hits killing a vehicle may well be as good as being able to outright destroy it. In theory any vehicle can be killed by as little as 2 glancing hits (assuming both are immobilized results) which with normal weapons will be the equivalent of rolling a 6. We've proved that to not be entirely difficult in this edition. I believe that we might see the reintroduction of pintle weapons (particularly on transports) as a way of avoiding the cumulative effects of weapon destroyed.

Also, as has been evident in the more recent codices, the extra armor option is becoming expensive. Just something I've noted.

Savnock: Valid points. I don't think Eldrad + another seer is necessarily excessive, though, as long as your list can make good use of the powers.

. . . which makes for a 1/36 chance of getting two such results on two glancing hits. Great!
