Inconceivable! I can only imagine it was for a worse crime than the ones that got me perma-banned from Warseer.

If it was for anything like the tough guy wannabe blather he was spouting in this thread, I can understand it.

I don't want to make any appearance of censoring this thread however we are drifting a bit off the topic.

I haven't travelled with figures. I have travelled with serious amounts of expensive cameras.
My policy is always to carry on my cameras if I can. On the occasions when there was too much kit, I packed it in with my normal luggage rather than a separate special looking camera case. The theory being that it would look like ordinary luggage and not a special target for theft.
So far I have been lucky. If a bad thing ever happens, that's what insurance is for.
BTW I have heard that US security agents will simply smash or cut open any locked luggage they find. I secure my checked luggage with a nylon belt, and I don't lock it.

"I have used the large gray GW case as my carry-on at airports and have had no problem with it what so ever. I just put it through the scanner and act like nothing is wrong with it and get no crap from TSA, plus I always use military ID with my ticket."
Thanks, Commisar00, this is what I'm hoping for - that's the exact case I have. I've emailed US Air to see if the case will fit in the overhead (it's 3 inches deeper than their listed carryon requirements, but under musical instruments, they allow for slightly larger dimensions and I can't help but think that the case isn't as deep as some that I've seen on flights). I just need to know before Baltimore, 'cause I'm not looking forward to putting my three Exorcists in something other than a hard case as my second carryon.
Fingers crossed...

A possible necropost but I think this information may be handy. There's a 3-1-1 rule regarding liquids. So if you're just starting out and were carrying paint, here's some useful info.
http://www.tsa.gov/311/index.shtm
Coming home for thanksgiving - they didn't give me too much trouble. The paints got checked because they didn't believe it was paint and thought it must have been cosmetics or something. Most of the plastic models were alright. The Phoenix Guards gave them a lot of trouble though, because they couldn't determine whether or not those miniature halberds would be dangerous in the hands of an Asian girl. One of the TSA guys almost poked himself in the eye when he leaned in to stare at Caradryan.
Then they decided that it wasn't against policy and they let me through. This was a lot easier than carrying calligraphy ink gear onto the plane. I could have sworn they were about to call the SWAT team or something.
Anyways. Other than that, it was relatively uneventful.

Just put your paints into the same bag with the rest of your liquids. That's what I've done many times and it works fine.

On my way back from Baltimore the TSA agent stopped my bag so that he could guess the army.

"At first I thought it was nids, but then I saw the scorpion thing, what are they?"
My answer "Chaos Daemons". Then he started asking me how I placed at the GT. That got me a lot of looks going through the line.
