Ok ive started the titan my wife gave me for my birthday (love you)

Its quite a job! To get the pose right and it to stick in the right place is no small feet! But im getting there!

The only down side is Forgeworld sent me the wrong arm for the left side, they say it will be two weeks to cast up the new one :(

However here are some pics to show you where I am at the moment!

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Two minor feedback niggles on the Titans pose. It doesnt look right.

First its a titan, it displays power as well as grace and even the Eldar versions are not light. Light on their feet yes, but not light.

I get the impression the tian pilot is about to make a fool of himself whehn his foot goes through the floor and the titan stumbles.

Second it relies on holofields, and while a good pose session is good for any Eldar an Eldar titan needs to be in a more fluid motive look, remember to these guys being stationary is death because their defensive fields coalesce and the titan is left very vulnerable.

Curent rules do not account for stationary titans, but the fluff has not changed, a titan that hasnt moved is assumed to be pacing up and down, dodging and weaving anything but staying stationary. Remember Edlar fields are stealth not deflection based.

OR maybe it is getting ready to smash the building on top of a Marine (painted like your friends chapter of course) with a lascannon, maybe even a small squad of Marines...

i get the black, the GW washes are amazing... but how do you get the bone on soooo smooth over a BLACK primer??? no matter what i do i see brush marks. even if i water it down and apply several layers, i will get brush lines.

if you tell me then i will steal your paint sceam and maybe get to work on my eldar force... it needs some lovin, ive spent to much time on blood bowl.

Orlanth, you have raised some good points but I do have two reasons for the pose.

1) Its a snap shot in time he has just planted one foot on the deck to secure a good aim (with the missing gun) whist the other is hovering over the ruin, the feet have jets in the back of the heel, the one on ruin is in the engaged position where as the other one is retracted.

2) This is the main one! The model is very very wobbly so i wanted a more static pose so it can be secured to the base better, and fingers cross not fall over of break every 5 mins

Envy89, the bone is two thin coats of Bleached bone then a gryphon sepia wash then another coat of bleached bone, for large areas I do a white base coat before the first bleached bone layer!

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I can't do much more now until FW get me the arm :(
