no worries. I feel oyur pain about the sarcasm, although having the same issues myself doesn't seem to make me any better at spotting it in others. Ce la vie.

Any way really it depends on the warlord in question, but yeah you have a great chance of exactly that.

Brother Captain Andrecus wrote:Well, for one thing, Titans have a lot of large flat surfaces and not a massive amount of small detailing. That would make it a bit easier, I should think.

I will not disagree with you one iota on this statement. I would have said "Most Titans..." but the agreement is there nontheless.

Aside from that though, your comment had nothing to do with my quote. My first reply was in response to Gwar!'s statements that 3D printing was unsuitable for 40k:

Gwar! wrote:3D priniting is a resounding meh. Having seen it in action and the models it makes, I can tell you it is utterly unsuitable for making 40k scale models.

This is a mostly untrue statement. Sure, it wouldn't be a good choice for making something like Tyranids or hyper-detailed, small models, but for tanks and big stuff (like Titans) it works out just fine. Really well, actually. The key is in the cad artist. If the design being printed from is bad, devoid of all features, etc. then the finished model will look representative of the bland cad drawing, thus possibly shaping the way Gwar! has experienced 3D printed minis. The friend of mine that made 3 Revenants took a fair amount of time designing them in cad and the result is 3 very nice Titans that look pretty indistinguishable from Forge World's casts.

It all boils down to the level of detail on the model and what the cad artist puts in the design plans. A Barbed Heirodule would be an exercise in futility, I would think, but a Leman Russ would turn out splendidly.

Didn't they first showcase this technology in popular media when they demonstrated it on Jurassic Park 3, making a raptor's vocal device?
