I will not disagree with you one iota on this statement. I would have said "Most Titans..." but the agreement is there nontheless.
Aside from that though, your comment had nothing to do with my quote. My first reply was in response to Gwar!'s statements that 3D printing was unsuitable for

This is a mostly untrue statement. Sure, it wouldn't be a good choice for making something like Tyranids or hyper-detailed, small models, but for tanks and big stuff (like Titans) it works out just fine. Really well, actually. The key is in the cad artist. If the design being printed from is bad, devoid of all features, etc. then the finished model will look representative of the bland cad drawing, thus possibly shaping the way Gwar! has experienced 3D printed minis. The friend of mine that made 3 Revenants took a fair amount of time designing them in cad and the result is 3 very nice Titans that look pretty indistinguishable from Forge World's casts.
It all boils down to the level of detail on the model and what the cad artist puts in the design plans. A Barbed Heirodule would be an exercise in futility, I would think, but a Leman Russ would turn out splendidly.
