It will start soon. There are a whole LOT of posts to get organized into a voting thread so its going to take a little time.

I will probably post a list of all the threads I believe to be eligible into this thread and give people a day or two to let me know whether I've missed their thread or to let me know their thread shouldn't be eligible for one reason or another.

I really don't want to post the voting thread and miss someone and have them complain later because once the voting starts its pretty much a killer to be added later.

So you should expect the voting to start sometime in the middle of this week. Keep an eye on this forum for a new sticky and a front page announcement as well.

Hey everyone,

If you believe that your tutorial should be eligible for the contest voting, please make sure it is included in this thread:

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/242545.page

If you don't see your tutorial listed in that thread, please make sure to make a post about your missing tutorial in that linked thread.

Thanks!

If we now wanted to cross post our tutorial on our personal blog or somewhere else, is there a "waiting period"?

I imagine a "here's a tutorial I wrote for Dakka, please vote for me and check out all the other cool tutorials posted in the new Painting and Modeling Tutorials section there" type post; or is that not yet kosher?

Just to keep things nice and clear for the rules I'd prefer that you wait to post it elsewhere until after the contest is complete (the winner has been picked).

If you can't wait that long send me a PM and let me know.
