I like the look of this, I may have to hold off on getting my chimeras together until I see the final version.

Those wheels on any of the Chimera variants would rock. Particularly on an enclosed Basilisk or a Salamander.

I think at this point its safe to say that its cosmetically done. The work left for the basic upgrade kit is just so its easier to assemble.

The basic kit is done. The add-on will be something I'll come back to at a later time. Next year is my guess. The basic kit models were turned over to the Chapterhouse. They have sent it to a printer. Beyond this I'm in the dark. I would guess based on past pieces that we will see it before the end of the year. I hope you guys who have been following this thread, support me and chapterhouse by picking up a couple of kits when they become available.

Also on their agenda are some alternate IG weapons I did a while ago, that they were holding off on till they had more to release. So you guys can have that to look forward to as well.

On my plate now is a stand alone Space Marine Jetbike and a conversion kit Dark Eldar Venom. I'll try to get pics of the Jetbike up in the next couple of days.

I want to say, that you have an awesome Chimera kit, I can't wait to buy me a couple of those.

They have been sent off to the printer, they are enroute from oversees as well. Then we have to get them molded up in resin once they pass the fitting test. It definitely is a process...

Wow.....just wow. You've just made me the happiest new IG player in all the land. I've been following this for a while, but now that it is finally being made for sale, you can expect me to buy 4-5 kits, plus 20 later down the road.

I have the masters in hand now, they need some modification with a dremel tool to have them fit flawlessly with the chimera kit. Its on my list of things to do this week.

So, there a set release date yet? I am really interested in buying or convincing others of buying a few for Christmas.

IG has been need good wheels for a long time,ork tires look all wrong for IG conversions.
I'm very glad to see this kit on the horizon.

It's been 3D printed and currently some tweeks are being made to improve the mating with the plastic parts. I don't think they'll be ready in time for Christmas. I had hoped they would be but there have been delays on CH side.

Well.. after taking a dremel to the side parts, they fit correctly with the current Chimera main body.

Saying that, 3D printing leaves striations (like little steps) all along the flat surfaces, this means lots of meticulous shaving by hand (dremel is too damaging).

So after Christmas for sure.

Im having someone clean all the print lines on the rhino parts, this is somewhat above my skill level and the guy doing it works on masters all the time.

After that it will be casting and molding time.

I see, did wonder what the lines on the mk 1 rhino kit were. Took a long time to sand flat by hand but worth the effort in the end.
