Uhm, the Demolisher kit on the site has been around since last year, the new Russ kit will go up for pre-order tomorrow.

Yes, so there will be 2 kits to make all the different variants. The Demolisher kit which was released with the new Hellhound kit last year, and this kit.

The Demolisher kit makes the 3 Leman Russes with rear armour AV11, this new kit makes the 4 Russes with rear armour AV10.

Awesome, I've been waiting to see more of the leman russ tank variations especially the vanq.

Is there a visual difference in the rear of the model once its assembled? Do the Demolisher variants look more heavily armoured?

As the sprue picture is upside down, I can't tell either. I think the turret sides are different though; if you look at the codex art, the AV11 ones have less armour on the turret than the AV10 ones.

Chassis is the same, the Russ turret has a smaller fixed turret box, whereas the Demo has two options for the rear.

@ Brook - Is the advance order stuff up on the Netherlands GW site yet? You always seem to be ahead of us...

Not yet, I think it won't pop up until the late afternoon or early evening. I'll hit refresh every 30 minutes though, so no worries.

Other than the weapon options, is there any difference between this and the demolisher turret?

The Russ turret has a smaller tool box with fixed lid and the engine deck grill has a winged skull.

So basically with magnets one would be able to switch between the demolisher turret weapons and the russ turret weapons with minimal difficulties. Thanks.
