Any ideas on the camo patterns you'll use on these guys or will you use a similar palette to the German WWII armour?

Kudos on the use of non-GW stuff, it really is an amazingly unique army. Cannot wait to see more.

Thanks for the comments!
Colours? Ehm, tankers will definitely have black uniforms, and the vehicles themselves will probably be three-colour German wooldand camo as it suits the fluff best. The infantry will have black armor, with either grey-blue or camouflage fatigues, not sure yet.

I should go for Field Grey flak armour and helmets, and Oak Leaf camo uniforms, mixing the spring and autumn versions throughout the army..

Thanks, nice idea. Although I think spring leaf is not entirely what I envision my troops wearing. The autumn pattern would look pretty good combined with these jackets and trousers (pic shows the tanker uniform as well):

Don't you think? In this pattern (the blue Rauchtarn) there's a nice distribution of light and dark colours, and it makes the trousers real easy to do. Plus, I hate it when you can't actually see a model on the tabletop because it's all camo.

Wow, big fan of the guard, (my fledling army is shabby compared to all this =) ) liking your German Army thing going on. As a suggestion/idea/request, you should work with the artillery they had. flak .88, big berthas, lot of possibilities there. let me know if your interested in swap[img]ping ideas. working on a little guard of my own.

awesome work mate, you have really inspired me.ive been thinking of using different tanks to give my guard a unique flavour and had been looking into 1/72 scale tanks, yet those 1/35 seem pretty cool compared to the size of gw minis.
keep up the good work.

A bit of threadomancy but oh well. Love the conversions

Btw to the above poster, 1/72 is very small, about 20mm scale. They could work for grots but not everyone else
