Nice work , it has always bothered me that space marines are not to scale, i thinks its why i like karl kopinski art so much, he seems to get the scale right to me. you should build an imperial citizen or guard to show there real height.

Good afternoon,

First of all: Trilobite, Commander Cain, tekk_45, neil101, thank you guys!

I have continued painting and I wanted to try new techniques, so I tried source lighting. It's not finihed yet, but anyway, what do you think? I'm not sure about the lighting sword, maybe I will repain it.

Greetings.

The lighting has worked very nicely although you may want to put a bit on the sword hand also

The source lighting is fantastic, but the lightning on the sword lets it down... Other than that, is this going to go to Golden Demon?

Here is said the King of Dreams...

DapperAnarchist: I wasn't happy with the sword, so I'm painting it again (with more light!!!)

I will upload more photos soon.

How long have you been working with modelling/sculpting? I'm guessing a while given the detail on the shins etc?

Nice work! Very smooth true scaling!

Long time without posting due to work, sorry. First of all thanks for your comments guys.
The few time i have had, has been for painting this witch king on fell beast for my girlfriend's birthday. She is really happy

The With King himself. The cloak has been painted using back mixed with blues:

As the model was bought on ebay, there was a claw missing, so I had to model it with green stuff, giving it a more dynamic pose than the original one.

Another shot:

And finally the base:

On the other hand, I can advance that I'm working on another member for the Death Watch squad: a termi, maybe in heresy armour. Moreover, I'm reading Horus Heresy novels and this has inspired me to model a true scale in a completely standing pose Garviel Loken. As soon as I have some time, I will upload some WIP photos.
Take care readers!

Amazing lighting effect, although as someone said, the actual detail on the sword does not do it justice. I find that painting some darker blue onto the blade shows up the lightning better (I just painted a lightning sword so you can check it out on my blog).

Nice work on the witch king I like the leathery look of the fell beast.

Yeah, I'm not happy with the lighting effect on the sword (too dark, as you said). I have seen your work, and it's great! I will try to repaint it in a similar way. Thanks!

Certainly I was thinking about casting it. Some months ago I experimented with resine casting, so I will give it a try and if I get decent results I will comunicate it here in the post. So stay tunned

He looks a bit static ATM but that could have something to do with the fact that he has no arms

I wanted to make him static, standing with the bolter in one hand and the helmet in the other. Something like a statue, showing the elegance of a space marine in his full height (it sounds poetic... XD)
