@ Gathering Storm - If you wouldn't mind , then any spare nid 'bits' would be greatly appreciated

The Salamander is fully painted now (details and all).
Unfortunately I can't find the DA marine my brother converted so I may have to convert another (an old BA Death Company model with DA bitz).
And more bad news, my brother has lost my paint brushes (and will need to buy me new ones) so he can't paint the replacement yet.

Great news guys! I look forward to photos.
I'm still planning the base myself, thinking of getting the crashed Valkyrie from FW or something like that.
@GS Ouch, never a good thing to end up with no brushes. Happened to me recently (In fairness I did leave them in Herne Bay) had to re-buy my entire set! Bad times.

Nah, the forge world thing would be pretty expensive. Just get a city ruin and make one, then use left over bits to have them fighting in. It works well and you get a decent amount of bits left over!
I will take photos today...once he's been assembled

Well, it's not all just doom and gloom (and excuses!), Lord of Change has converted up a metal BA Death Company to be DA and it looks pretty sweet (and dynamic because it is running). And, he glued a part of a gaunt head onto the base. And to my delight, yesterday, I discovered that I still had my small brush which means I can at least paint 'block' colours even if that means highlights will come later.
Also, I was very bored last night so I converted up a DA Librarian from the last metal DC model I had, I gave it a psychic hood and everything. If your intrested I could send you it along with the two marines and the two extra gaunts (un-painted or painted).

How many spare =I= shoulder pads do you have? I need 2 for the marines me and my brother are contributing project. @DisjointedEntity: I've got some pics of the marines that I'll try to upload today, so you'll be able to gauge our progress.

Awesome stuff! It looks great! And Ozzzy you can still make a marine if you'd like. Hell, I don't care if it's a legal squad or not, it's all going in the GD anyway.
I was thinking about the Ruins idea, and I reckon the squad assembled with a quarter building behind them, and a load of nids running towards, plus a Lictor on the building itself, but cunningly dry brushed the same colours as the walls (blending in, get it?)

Good, I'll try to get a picture of the fully finished Salamander (sans the =I= Shoulderpad [darn they are hard to find at my flgs]) and the replacement "Dark Angel Succesor" BA/DA kitbash tomorrow.

Oddly enough, there is a lone =I= shoulder pad in the Marine CMD boxset.
Don't know why.

Unfortunately everyone with a Command Squad has used the pad and I don't want to have to shell out £18 for one just to get one pad. How many =I= pads's does the BA DC box-set contain? I may be buying the set for my brother's birthday so I was going to take some bitz from it.

Got some good news for you Disjointed Entity.
-Managed to snag another gaunt (so that's three I can give you, as well as the one on the base). With any luck, I may be able to snag a couple more.
-More importantly: I finally managed to procure one =I= pad from a friend. Just one more and I'll be ready to send them to you.
I was also wodering if you want a Space Marine armed with either a Plasma Cannon, a Heavy Bolter or Lascannon as I need to find a use for my third metal BA Death Company Model.
