Would some simple leather armour do the job?
And I don't mean the usual bikini type that only serves to accentuate hips and (large) breasts.
Always leaves a lot of exposed skin which I never thought good for a warrioir!
Do the beastmen use armour much at all?
Thinking of the models I've seen don't recall any

Some plate and rusty chainmail, remember that the beasties don't make their own stuff apart from very crude weapons, but instead take what they scrounge from the enemies and put on what fits. Bestigors are given the honour of choosing first among the herd (since minotaurs seldom find anything their size) and then it goes down through the ranks. Most often not even the regular gors get anything besides some weapons and the ungors nothing.

no decent parent would let their kid play with over-sexualized models(something GW has done a very good job of avoiding)
i agree that the IG could do with some female guardsmen(prehaps a 2:1 ratio of male to female heads)
Once upon a time you had daemonettes and harpies and plenty of others with breasts exposed. Now you don't, I don't understand why it's such an issue in a universe where death is so casual and rife. What, it's okay to slaughter people but not to have an exposed nipple? I wish they did more female figures but there are so few and those that do exist are generally of a poor standard, I don't know why they can't do their scuplts justice but it probably explains why they've stopped doing them in many cases, and why the new daemonetts just look so wierd. Look at the new Dark Eldar, the women all look like men. Shame.

No beastmen amazons though thank you, that particular cliche can die.
I agree that they don't use enough female models, you don't need to have them be overly sexualized in order to have female models, look at things like the woodelves for instance, there are female torsos included in like every box at the pretty much just meld in with the rest.
I think it would be cool of them to release female models in like seperate boxes of 5 to a set for some things (like beastmen) so you could have an all male or female armies or just add a couple females in to give a little variety, they wouldn't need to be overly sexualized, (Especially for beastmen!) just put out some ungors with breasts, and some sort of loose ragged wrap of cloth over them and then heads with long hair.
And as seperate comment about the female centigors I would doubt that, with the centigor special character being so famed for his drinking and lechery if he had a female in his unit I don't think he'd ever actually get into the fight.

Sure...
The problem is that when they release female models, they take the route of fanservice and dexualize them. There are alot of factions that actually should have female representation. The Khûrgan (Chaos Warriors) of Tzeentch for example have a legendary unit of Chosen females. They can't sexualize that since these women wear heavy plate. Therefore, not interesting. Although it's quite easy to go around in that case, my friend just made som greenstuff heads and put them on the Chosen mini, looked gorgeous, he's certainly heading towards a career in sculpting. =p

Althought this is obviously a typo it has led to me creating a new word, 'deluxualise'. It is a portmanteau of deluxe and sexualise. I think it neatly sums up what GW do to their female miniatures.

Except it makes something the opposite of making something swanky.
The original statement should have been that to pander to the fans they 'sexualise' the figures?

sorry if I missed the irony
but I thought that fan servise was to pander to a predominantly male audiences sexual desire.
in which case desexualising does the opposite?
I see the jest in making things with a distinct lack of quality but the original premise was skewed was all I was saying.
sheesh
ps that cookie better be fresh and have lots of chocolate chips.

I was just saying that I was mean "sexualise", just that the 'd' sits next to 's' so it's a common typo.
And yes, it's fresh, but contains raisins, not chocholate...

Lol, good one
IMHO, the most sensible option is for female Beastmen to just be harpies. With the way Beastmen are, the fact that Harpies can use wings to get away / hide in the treetops prevents the whole idea of Beastmen reproduction from being r@p#-tastic, as it would be otherwise. This could also lead to a strong "it's good to be king" reason why Beastmen take their rank in the tribe so seriously. It seems like it would handle a lot of the questions while not adding much silliness (Bull women?) to canon, and not making their society too dark to talk about.
