I wish this piece had existed when I was still refereeing RPGs years ago, it's exactly the kind of thing I always wanted once we started using miniatures. Removable floors and places for models to stand, it's a terrific piece. Very useful for story-driven games and RPGs, maybe a bit of overkill for the average pickup game and gamer.

But, I am a sucker for fantasy wizard's tower type of terrain pieces, so...

When you look at the box cover for the intact tower you can see a wizard model standing near the door, which shows off nicely how big that thing is. I am also a sucker for cool scenery pieces and will likely end up with both of these models eventually.

So how stripped down can you actually make it?

A lot of the silly detail looks to be molded on stuff.

And the window positions look pretty locked in as well.

Still it is kinda neat.

Me three !! These are really cool sets (especially if you mind-wipe the image of the stupid red-accented paint job from your brain) !! I've recently gotten back into RPGs and these will be fantastic !!

I wonder if the casting circle shown in the floor of the ruin is a stand-alone component rather than molded into the base? I hope so since I could use that anywhere !!

I might even consider getting two towers to stack and have more options ... ruined top? Using second top floor as a stand-alone casting structure (after cutting a gate into it) ??

It makes a lot of sense that they're releasing towers, since you can buy one as an (arcane?) item for 100 points, and of course there's the battle that requires one as the objective!

These look incredible! I'm going to reserve judgement on the more elaborate one until I get to see it in person, though. Definitely loving the ruined one (especially the casting circle, as mentioned above)

I've pre ordered the ruined one. Coolest piece of terrian since the Temple of Skulls.

I don't quite understand why they made the Tower of Sorcery multi-level and sectioned to come apart.

Nice towers, but I was actually more inspired by the simple set ups they did with the Warhammer walls in What's New Today.

OhTHAT would make my year !!! I loved Mordheim ... it would be great to have it re-released to re-stock the player pool again.

If they rerelease mordheim hopefully they re-do the rules so that the campaign system doesnt totally break within 6 games.. as it does currently

What I've been hearing is not that there would be another boxed game re-release, but rather something for an existing model range perhaps. Either way, a change of pace from what has become the standard December fare would be nice.

Those are badass terrain pieces, makes me wish I played or collected fantasy!

Seeing as the ruined and the intact versions appear to be made with the same pieces, I'd say you could remove all of the extra detail that people don't like.

Hmm - with a bit of work that ruined piece could work nicely for Warmachine.....
