Drop Trooper with Demo Charge

Norfolk (the UK one)

IIRC the studio did pre-play the Guard vs DE game as there was a reference to it in the build up waffle. Its one of the reasons the Guard player took some of the choices he did and also provided the back story to the printed Bat-Rep.

In my humble opinion though the Guard list taken for this report was hideous with so many sub-par, ill-conceived and just plain bad unit selections especially considering the army it was facing. Just from reading his list before the Bat-Rep itself I could see how that one was gonna go.

At least in the game vs 'Crons there seemed to be a little more thought gone into the choices and the result did show this strangely enough. Not in KP's as the difference there was vast but as it turned out Cruddace was only one kill away from phasing them out, a result that admittedly he should have been playing for from turn one but there you go.

On a final note, I have actually had reason to buy more copies of WD this year than in about the last 3 years combined! I believe they have taken note of the restless natives and it is slowly but surely climbing back to its glory days, time will tell however but heres hoping the trend continues

Emperors Faithful wrote:I don't think you're being fair there, spireland. Sure they may restart or have a test-match if a new army is getting walloped. But that makes complete sense. They DO actually play their games, not just put the models on the board, take pictures and make stuff up.

My point should have been taken with more sarcasm. I was stating that they don't play their own game in general, as in they don't play enough to actually be any good or understand it enough. If they did understand the game well, there is no way they wouldn't fix all of the issues in game balance, flow and wonky game mechanics. I'm sure they actually played that game, I was referring to a general lack of experience.
