AAhhh, Shogun 2, I always forget how hilarious your Realm Divide is. So, in this playthrough I am a true BFF with the Takeda clan. It's probably one of the mightiest clans still around and we were crushing Hojo together when the Realm Divide happened. Hilarious map ensues (white are mine, green are Takeda's, red are our enemies):
Spoiler:
No matter, my loli Daimyo will enjoy watching the entire Japan burn for defying the might of the Date clan :

Well my game went to crap and I have to start over. I hate how when you have 3 or so enemies you can fight one and deplete their armies and be winning only for one of the other factions to send a big stupid army at you. Eventually most people started betraying the emperor including one of my allies and then he tried attacking me. I successfully repel him and then do what must be a heroic victory against him but it doesn't matter because I'm assailed on all sides. Ugh I remember why I hate this game now. Maybe total war itself is just annoying with how treacherous all the other factions can be.
Yes, I know what you mean, and sometimes I honestly can't understand the diplomacy AI (Yeah, I know it always sucked but in Shogun 2 it does seem better). An example that happened today, was me trying to once again start a Trade agreement with my only ally, Takeda, after we were "interrupted" thanks to some enemy attacks. He reffused, even though our clans are BFF (really, the only thing I know it will work is to suck up to them like no tomorrow, I'm gifting them money every 3 turns to keep that friendship way up). I complete the turn. Takeda proposes me the Trade Agreement... I'm gonna guess it's because Takeda is a Tsundere or something.

Not only that but you're the only big enemy left and I think they are all allies. Jesus if nobunaga had it this hard he has my sympathies. Honestly I don't think he did.
I see what you mean now... The Real Divide keeps damaging my Diplomacy status with Takeda, We'll reach a point no amount of gifts will make him happy.
And yes, situation is getting a little out of hand, literally fighting the entire other half ot Japan when they are all allies, seeesh. I have no idea how people manage to beat this on Legendary.

Whelp, the AI fix worked a bit *TOO* well... my empire is being ripped a new one thanks to one massive naval invasion from the mightiest clan on the other side of the country... the one that has absolutely no enemies besides me.
Yeah, note to self I attempt another go: Be a BFF with one of the mighty clans on the other side of the continent ...

My current go seems to be going much better (though that's what I said last time before all hell broke loose). That said my bigger ally was completely incompetent in handling an enemy near us with only one territory. I basically leave my computer ally to handle it after our enemy switches to the imperial faction. Then I go onto the other enemy that joined the enemy we were facing before and destroy him down to a territory. During this time our old enemy regains strength captures a territory or two of my ally's and now is about to attack me. It's infuriating me how inept these A.I. allies are. You'd think I wouldn't have to do all the work but it seems that I do. Currently I have about 7-8 territories and the imperials are starting to kiss my *ss more. Ok it's more like I'm getting the chance to kiss the emperor's *ss but I have people lower on the chain kissing mine so we're forming an *ss kissing pyramid with me near to the top.
I think it has to do with their behaviour. Takeda is aggressive so they conquered a good chunk of east japan and when he lost 2-3, they were conquered back.
What I did notice is that the enemy clans that are "peaceful" never attacked a province of mine even if the only defenders were the garrison.
My, that forest looks beautiful That was one hell of a victory, even if they were mostly levy I'm surprised your guys didn't start panicking just because of the sheer numbers of the enemy. Still, that was a nice use of the terrain and naval bombardment!
I have discovered this game thanks to a "Let's Play" and it was instant love. I've always given great importance to music and one of my favorite RPGs, Ar Tonelico, gives a lot of importance to it. Unfortunately, most music based games are usually rhythm games that I feel are completely "Meh".
This one, "Crypt of the NecroDancer" is a Rogue-Like Fantasy Dungeon-crawler where your character can only move or attack if it follows the beat. You don't see in the trailer, but there's a heart near the bottom of the screen with some bars that tells you the Beat. Every monster has a pattern related to the beat: Some move together with the beat, some move between beats, you have to learn their patterns so you can fight them and survive.
And of course, the music is fething awesome. I mean, just listen to the first one!
Oh, and the shopkeeper you meet in each floor joins the fun. He starts singing. It's just wonderful <3 That's who you hear "singing" there.

I have the endless space. It's an interesting and beautiful title but I can't give a decent opinion since I never accomplished much. The tutorial isn't that good either, I think watching a "Let's Play" first should help.
Right now, I'm mostly playing Dark Souls and Crypt of the NecroDancer. I felt I was missing a bit of S&M in my life
- Diablo 3, Hardcore Mode, playing on Expert / Master. My solo character is a Crusader but I'm playing with Cirno the Wizard when playing with friends. Also on Hardcore, Expert and up.
- Ar Tonelico 3: The combat is God-Emperor awful, I don't remember the last game I hated the combat so damn much I had to grit my teeth to resist turning off my console after each and every fight, BUT, it's the final game of the trilogy and I REALLY loved the other 2, so I REALLY, REALLY want to complete it. After that, Ar no Surge, that looks so much better.

In other news, I found this.... song.
Spoiler:
I love Rubicante, personally. He's incredibly badass.
Oh Gods, that battle when you have to face the 4 bosses in a row...
The DS remake of the FFIV had the difficulty of the Japanese game so some bosses were rage-inducing. One of my favorite JRPGs ever. Well, it has Golbez, so that helps. Golbez <3 such a sexy beast

Finally I'm being able to play Resident Evil 6 for a decent amount of time (don't ask me why, while playing half of Leon's campaign's I'd get very nauseous but after chapter 2 it seems I got used to it).
It's being quite a fun game IF you remember the "main" RE games are not survival horrors anymore. Lots of cool action and explosions and daring escapes worthy of a 90's action movie. Or Michael Bay.
The "Get on a bike, escape from a tank, enemy bikes throwing molotov cocktails and an attack helicopter while blowing gak up" was one hell of a cool scene.
I haven't been this addicted to an online game in a while. It's fun to play with big ships firing big cannons in a environment where 3kms is almost melee range.
I have my eyes set on that juicy Yamato, I want it so bad.

I suck, but I mean SUCK when I use battleships and yet they are the ones I love the most. I just keep getting destroying, but I don't care, I'll keep using them because they are AWESOME!
Still addicted to World of Warships. I'm now attempting to get the Rank VI Battleship, the Fuso.
It feels so damn good to instantly destroy a destroyer. Or even destroy them without using the main guns, the secondary armaments are strong enough to do it
But I hate carriers with the fury of a 1000 burning suns.

Still World of Warships. After much time with my ship-waifu that's the Kongo (We had so many awesome moments together) I've finally unlocked the Fuso. Stock main guns have 19.8 KMs range and they have less spread than the Kongo.
Oh yes, I'm in heaven.
(at least until a God-Emperor damned sneaky destroyer sinks my ass or the Air Carriers start sending waves of torpedo bombers my way)

Yesterday I managed to ram some BURNING LOVE into an Air Carrier. I didn't even need to ram but I had to . Damn, I love my Kongou so much, a Battlecruiser with big cannons and 30 knots of speed is so awesome
I swear, "Kongou is Love, Kongou is Life". I have so much more fun with her than with the Fuso. In another game, I just went full speed ahead to protect a Carrier and a cruiser under attack by 3 cruisers and a battleship, I sink 2 cruisers and the battleship and I remain alive until the end of the game.
WoW open beta shouldn't be too far off, so I don't think I'll be unlocking that many ships until then, tier VIII Battleship already takes a massive ammount of XP.
PoE is just... wow... what a fething awesome game.

What is your favourite ship so far?
Kongō is love, Kongō is life. BURNING LOVE, FTW!
Spoiler:
In all seriousness, besides loving the KanColle character, it was a very happy coincidence how Kongō IS my favorite ship so far: It's a battleship with cannons that manage to give one hell of a fight to both Fusos and Nagatos (and annihilate both cruisers and destroyers, ofc), her AA is top notch for tier V and her speed, oh man, a battleship with 30 knots of speed? It's heaven. I manage to dodge torpedos much easier with my burning love dispenser than with the slowpoke the Nagato is.

Still waiting for my beta invite.
How unbalanced is it? WoT is one of the most unbalanced multi player games that I have ever played.
This may shock and appal you, but I don't think it's unbalanced at all.
Yes, I can see your reaction:
Spoiler:
Right, hear me out:
Many times the match maker is spot on. Sometimes the matchmaker gives more ships to a side that doesn't have as many high tier ships as the other. Good idea in theory, bad in practice. The "ZERG RUSH" usually wins but I've had very balanced matches too. You just need a team with functional human beings instead of "LOLOLOL I'M ON A BOAT, LOLOLOL!"
Why? 'Cause this ain't WoT, boys and girls, here every ship counts, every ship manages to damage the opponent, never mind the tier and if that wasn't enough, Torpedos are the supreme equalizer.
No ship is God, the premium all have their strengths and weaknesses. I've already seen a Yamato going down HARD without doing diddly squat because it advanced solo through an area where many of us were gathered. Yes, it took a hell of a beating, but battleships aren't eternal.
Of course, next big update we are getting American Battleships and Japanese Air Carriers, so who knows what happens to balance then!
P.S: Because of the overwhelming requests, Wargaming decided that if you buy one of 3 Premium ships they have for sale (already got 2 of them Wargaming is already making money out of me and it's a closed beta ) you get CBT access so if you are really desperate for HOT, SEXY, JUICY AND STEAMY SHIP ON SHIP ACTION (and who the feth isn't?!), this may be your chance!
Come, KONGOU IS WAITING FOR YOU!
Spoiler:
Are you going to leave that girl hanging?!
(and here's a review of the current premium ships that give you access to the CBT)
(Yes, I had FAR too much fun with this post )

CthuluIsSpy wrote: Does World of Warships have the same problem in world of tanks, where you can just fire all day at an enemy tank and do nothing, but all it takes is one shot and you die outright?
I got tired of that in WoT
Not actually how WoT works but sure.
And yes and no. it all depends on where you hit a ship, with what etc. Torpedo's can and will sink you in a single spread. Battle cannons (15 inch and up) can kill you in a couple of hits to the citadel.
WoT has the armor and armor slope thing: If your shell doesn't penetrate it does nothing or the slope of a tank's armor can make a shell bounce.
In WoW you will always damage enemy ships, doesn't matter what tier you are. The major damage is when your shell penetrates the citadel, otherwise you may do reduced damage because it didn't fully penetrate or it over-penetrated (like a battleship shooting against a destroyer. It will either work very well or the shell will just over-penetrate without exploding and will do minimal damage).
Of course battleships are suppose to hurt like hell. We fire once every 30 seconds.
This may shock and appal you, but I don't think it's unbalanced at all.
How often is one team completely demolished by the other? It seems to happen around 50% of the time in WoT.
Not that many. I've never seen ridiculous scores like I see in WoT either with one guy carrying the entire team.
The max I have seen was 4. I ALMOST got 5 (once) but I got wasted by a destroyer... using it's cannons and I was in a tier VIII battleship. I was in such low health after a battle with a cruiser and an enemy Battleship he didn't even need to use torpedos.

I have managed 3 kills in my Katori.
Yes, sometimes you get some VERY oblivious torpedo users.
I have been mostly playing Pillars of Eternity but finally, the Open Beta of WoWarships has arrived and my account was reset, save a few bonus because of my closed beta time. I haven't been playing because of the rumors and I'm glad they were true.
Welp, if there's something VERY good about this, is that I'm going to play with my delicious Kongo once again.
BURNING LOVE TIME, BITCHES!
