The same reason why I walk out of the arena during hockey fights. That's not the sport I came to see. At all.

Now how is anyone who says the above supposed to be taken seriously when he calls people sissies for their army lists?

The world is quiet here.

When I want to see hockey, I want to see hockey. When I want to see fighting, I watch boxing. I don't want to see them at the same time. And I didn't call "people" sissies for their lists. I called *you* sissy for your list... and all the sissies who copy your list. Heh...

Keep it up and I'll challenge you to some hockey.  (and for the record, there isn't a single lascannon in my list anymore)

Anyway, excellent job with DE at the tournament. All other comments aside, please accept my virtual pat on the back.

I guess because a Lascannon is not the smartest weapon when using Droppods

Xtapl, you are the man.  Nice pics and write ups!  Kudos to you for Cavalier Spirit!

By the way the Iron hands army is mine.  I have the list posted up in the army forum. I call them Iron Lions.  I had put out all my figs I painted for the army, but I was only playing 5 dreads and 6 speeders, the tourney was only 1750.  I have 6 dreads and 9 speeders painted though, I wanted to display them all because they were all painted, and...  I like a little presence attack.  I think it was ultimately a mistake, it gave people the wrong idea.

I was thinking of starting a new thread but why not add here.  I went 3-0 in the tourney but lost on softscores, in fact I think at least 3 people went 3-0 in the tourney and the overall champion was a guy who went 2-1, but got picked by all his opponents for everything, it gave me pause.  What do you dakkites think?

Out of curiosity, did you end up throwing missile launchers on a few of your dreads, and did they help? You'd think people would give you credit for at least taking Typhoons over Tornadoes - you did, right?

When soldiers think, it's called routing.

I think soft scores for painting can be manipulated too much. I've been in tournaments where players made great scores for painting only to have it be discovered later someone else painted their army.

It has been said elsewhere comp scores are only done in the US and Australia with everywhere else being no holds barred. Can anyone verify this?

Yep...there's a poster at TWF who typically posts WIPs of jobs she's doing for clients. A couple of them have really weird bases and the reason is always that the client wants matching bases with parts of the army he's painted to avoid taking a hit on painting scores.
