So, I've been quite busy. Mostly with this crappy thing called "real life",
but I've got the first squad of my "urban winter-finnish continuation war-themed" Imperial Guard built and primed and I have three guys almost completely painted.

What color scheme did you settle on for them?

I settled for a blue-gray colour for their fatigues. It's Army Painter's "Wolf Grey" spray. Good stuff.

Wow. Those are very nice I must say. Looking forward to seeing the entire squad.

I think the lasguns would look good if they were white too though.
And now my Renegades feel very underdressed compared to these, lol.

Hmm, yes... Maybe I should do their guns white, too.
To tie them in and make them camouflaged.
Underdressed? Because of all the pouches and bags?

I think it might look nice. With the "body" of the guns white and the grip, stock and gunbarrel still metal.
As in that many of them have their arms exposed. Might get them frostbite!

It will look neat I think. I'm unsure of what color my lasguns should be in.
Well. I don't care for the welfare of my minions at least.

Maybe a gray or brown to match the "uniform"?

Soon hopefully. I'm in the process of getting the first unit of renegade grunts done now.

I've started on a bunker terrain piece.
Does it need anything more?

Sandbags.
All bunkers need sandbags. If you tell a soldier to sit in a small box room for hours then they'll get paranoid and beef it up.

Simple Psychology.

For example, a Metal fly-wall construction with crud loads of sandbags all around it.

Apologies, upon closer inspection that bunker appears to be built from PSP (Perforated Steel Planking), Good old Timber and a large amount of Sandbags.

That looks like something I really want to replicate. Must make loads of sandbags!

Also, if its supposed to show a long time of occupancy, then have loads of nicknacks about! Radios, Chairs, Calendars, Beer Cans, whatever!

Oh. Totally caught me off guard with that terrain, man. I like it and more terrain is never bad. Keep it free from a bunch of skulls and it might go for infinity too!

Well, unfortunately, there are a few skulls on it. I added a Servo-skull on the razor wire, and there are skulls on the ladder and a few pieces of debris. Could work as a proxy building in Infinity, I guess, if you keep your imagination running.

Ah. It's still a very nice 40K piece. It provides something different from the Cities of Death stuff. Nice and functional, as I imagine the Imperial Guard would use.

I was aiming at something different. Tall enough to block most things' line of sight, but not tall enough to be a good sniper position.
And it could work for both our armies!
