Like I said: there, early on, was bragging from the sons that they'd "made their families impossible to be targeted by the rebels and NATO both" and that they "could run the war from their own homes".
It could also simply be that they sourced radio/cell phone traffic via ELINT operations to the villa and decided to hit it.
