Watched Moneyball last night. Another very solid movie, although I think I might have liked it more had I known anything about baseball. Not a prerequisite to liking it, though.

Went and saw Sherlock 2, GoS last night. It kicked butt. Right up there with the first one. Arguably better in some ways.

I saw Sherlock 2 on Christmas and loved it. I'd agree it's as good or better than the first.
And I'll second MGS in that I enjoyed the Fright Nite remake. Found it far more fun than the original actually.

I'm looking forward to 2012's line up, but on the other hand it seems to be another depressing cycle of remakes/reboots/sequels/re-hash etc
I was listening to people bang on about the new Sherlock on BBC this spring and I thought to myself, how original another Sherlock Bloody holmes!! Ditto Great Expectations and anything written by Austen or the Brontes.
Where are the new ideas, the fresh voices? Maybe the Mayans were wrong about earth blowing up in 2012, maybe it's the death of culture, becuase everything seems same old.
