No, that's ridiculous. I still think there should be some sort of limit, even if the limit is high. A limit should exist, as a matter of principle.

the thing i want to mak is kinda like an ambush...so it makes little sense to have too small numbers... if i would do a 1:1 between ork and IG i think it would be too obviously a masacre...

10 models is good I think. I am using 5 so im safe, but Sentinel is way over ten models with his army vs army! LOL Could not help my self Sentinel! LOL

No, there's a hassle. There should be a limit on base size, for the same reason that you had to create a limit on model count.

Because the person who puts tons of work into a CD sized diorama could be dwarfed by a table sized entry. Similarly sized entries means the voters can actually concentrate exclusively on painting and modelling talent.

Because what's ON the base can be more impressive looking simply by being bigger or on a larger scale, rather than being well painted or modeled.

My two cents, anyway. I think I'm backed on this by a few participants. Or maybe I'm just a strict legalistic rigid rules nazi. I dunno.

I completely agree with Sentinel. Unless you want to add a "terrain and basing" aspect to the competition, a base limitation is most definitely required. It keeps everything on a level setting so people can get the most out of their painting and modelling skills.

LOL good choice of word Unlucky Gaurdsmen! I agree with sentinal. I would suggest the size of a Dixie Paper Dinner Plate. ore a little bit bigger. Have to have room for the ten models

If we're talking circular base, I say 6" in diameter at most.

Or final dimensions not exceeding 6x6x6".

Otherwise we are leaving the realm of "duels" and entering "dioramas" or "battle-scenes."

and i too second sentinels ideas... and i don´t think you are a rules nazi... not the least... if so in the slightest i would get my shotgun and settle the matter

mind you... it doesn´t show you the setting... it doesn´t show you the complete roll call of the parties...heck it seriously doesn´t show you the complete roll call of even one party... but it shows you at least a generall direction where i want to go...

Im lucky, I only have need for one pair of legs. They are fortunetly being used on my space marine in my duel!

I have been focused on assembling miniatures to play and thats really where my focus is right now is having stuff to play in the league with...and then painting just my retribution army :(
