I feel these type of rules questions are not necessary, and are what I classify as "Rules Lawyering" . Those of you who say the terminators can't assault because there heads touching the hull prevents base to base contact are all kinds of wrong. They have the charge range to reach the tank, we know this because they made an assault move, but then find it to be invulnerable due to its shape? This argument goes against the spirit of the game, and players like that make me sad.

You might want to take a look at the sticky posts that explain what this particular sub-forum is all about.

Perhaps you should actually read the thread.
The assault move hadnt been performed, the measured to see if he was In range.

The OP's story went from the termi's head "is against," to at a later post to no part touching at all and "just underneath." I guess I didn't check that, but that really changes the argument. If you have a gap or no physical contact no one I know of is going to let you assault.

Yes, sorry abuot the change, as mentioned, the players involved had changed things. When I looked the terminator's base was level with the rear over hang of the land raider, the terminator was not touching the hull in any shape or form.

I thought previously the terminator could move up so a little close and his head touching, though I was told could not as that would take the terminator beyond assault range.
