At least it's not as bad as when the Devilfish jets are miscast with that annoying hole in the bottom.

Agreed, it's impossible for any company to have a 100% success rate, there will be faults and they will usually be caught by decent QC; there is still room for some to slip through.

GW is not the hobby.
This is honestly the attitude people need to take.
If Games Workshop sees other companies doing well whilst seeing their own numbers dropping, they will change.

I've never had the Devilfish problem... And Im about 5-6 in now with 1 Hammerhead aswell....
I so far have not had any issues with XV8 ankles although since I know it exists I kinda blob the glue in there pretty good =]
The only Tau issues I've had have obviously been the XV8 backplate gap and the Forgeworld Tetra is a finicky little thing. Takes about 2 hours to get it ready for gluing!!!
And YES I use plastic glue on Finecast... Works great... No issues with the glue... Finecast on the other hand.... epic fail... Never seen so much dismal product.

I had a rather large Apoc Tau army, around 15-20 battle suits of different makes, every single one of their ankles broke eventually. I had to drill holes and pin every single one.
My FW broadsides on the other hand, excellent, never got any of the other FW suits but the broadsides where aces.

I wouldnt be happy if the staff in my local GW tried to fix the issue with glue, then refused a refund after, they messed up man, not you.

I haven't had products I would consider "defective" from any miniatures company (including GW, likely because I don't have any interest in buying Finecast). The worst products I've gotten have been Forgeworld, but a significant amount of work on their products is expected. If I got defective products from GW and they refused to replace them (as the staff did here), I would certainly stop buying from them.

What kind of fethed up logic is that? If the defect percentage is high, its the company's responsibility to fix it.
If you agree opening new boxes will not yield a good one, aren't you blaming the wrong side?
If there's simple guides on the internet to fix the problem...
(Also, I play at Highgate roughly once a week, and, haven't had any problems with them. Then again, I seem to get lucky and not get defective product.)
There isn't any problem with the staff per say, just the fix was not working. I respect every single one of the staffs as matter of fact.
I have a better idea, you and I meet up, you fix it for me.
Scratch that, we have already met it seems, small world.
Well, there as one time where I got a Telion whos arms where too long, and I had to file them down till his Stalker Bolter would fit. Eh...
Try Customer Service if it still looks like gak. Lie a bit. Don't tell them you used non-GW product on their stuff, it tends to get them riled up.
A customer should not need to lie to get things done. The excuse of me using testor's glue is stupid as hell.
Why? because its too strong and I can't pull it off? Well congrats, someone made a glue that actually works, and I get called out for using it.
I know you said that to help me, but the Customer Service is really desperate to pull that card.
I'm mostly saying why would they open all the product in the store looking for a good backpack? We all know they are bad, your best bet is to call Customer Support. Chances are they'd just send you a new crisis suit.
I've never had to call them, but, I play Space Marines, and sadly they tend to get better quality stuff then the Xenos races.
My father, when he lived in Vancouver, played Tau. He shaved down every one of them suckers, and they look good.
Customer Support people range from awesome to slowed. You may have just got a slowed one.
