I wouldn't get your hopes up. Codex Space Marines has always been, and will probably remain, Codex: Ultramarines, since they were the first, and the model for, the Codex Chapter.

If you choose one of the less prestigious chapters for your favorite, you just have to accept that they're not going to get much attention. There's a Big Four, and they've been the same since the early 90s. Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Space Wolves and Ultramarines.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

But even I know this is effing ridiculous none of these books are getting rolled into anything its just a silly idea.
Based on what reasoning other than it's "effing ridiculous"?

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

They have said they are not going to squat anyone else. More importantly they are in the book as a separate faction. Gw isn't about to make that kind of mistake.

8000 Dark Angels (No primaris)
10000 Lizardmen (Fantasy I miss you)
3000 High Elves

Important note here.

Roll back /= Squatting.

Army would be still buildable and playable. Just would now be rolled back into a larger compendium.

Right, but keep in mind Squats were removed entirely, models, fluff, etc, actively retconned and even written out of black library books. Combining multiple armies that share 80%+ of their models, special rules, units, fluff, etc. is not "squatting" them. They'd still be there and playable with their special stuff largely there. There's less difference between BA's and SW's than there is between the Night Lords and World Eaters or the Catachans and the Armageddon Steel Legion, etc. and those factions all share a book.

More importantly they are in the book as a separate faction. Gw isn't about to make that kind of mistake.
Just because they're listed as a separate faction doesn't mean they couldn't be combined, they've done stuff like that before. Calling it a "mistake" is highly subjective, on what basis would it be a "mistake", just because it's listed separately? Hardly a compelling reason.

Also, assuming GW wouldn't make mistakes is a bit silly as well, this is the same company that thinks announcing products a week before release and *borrowing* money to pay dividends (neatly doubling the CEO's yearly income while he, illegally under UK law, is also Chairman) are intelligent decisions.
