I must admit, she was awesome in Black Swan. Her decline int madness and then complete "becoming" at the end was well, well done. I've yet to dinf the breakout 2012 movie like that. I have hopes for the Bill Murray movie currently out.

Do those starving care? If firebombing the town was the only option available then yes, that would be morally justifiable. It is very unlikely that the only option involves firebombing innocent civilians.

Quite an ironic scenario given how Japan was heavily firebombed, at extensive cost to the civilian population.
Also, I thought the IJA never reached Africa?

First of all, the Eastern Bloc. Afterall, the Soviets didn't hate Hungary, they just wanted them to share in the benefits of Communism like they did.
Second of all, International Comintern. It had nothing to do with hate, and everything to do with advancing communism across the planet. Automatically Appended Next Post: dogma wrote:Great movie. Shame most will only remember it for the lesbian scene.
I once asked a mate if he'd seen Eyes Wide Shut, and he replied 'I've seen the best ten minutes of it'.
But yeah, Black Swan was a really good movie. Natalie Portman was incredible, but it was Mila Kunis that really surprised me, because we all knew Natalie Portman had serious acting chops. But before Black Swan the only thing movie I'd seen Mila Kunis in was The Book of Eli, where she gave a performance almost identical to her 70s Show character.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Overlords? Nah, I think they'd rather rule the world by being too useful and amusing to ignore. They did, after all, invent CDs and felt tip pens, and came up with the idea of putting umbrellas in a vending machine.
Plus, Japan looks a bit like a prawn. I swear they're mocking us. Politely.
