Forgot to answer this...
PS: What kind of pens/pencils do you use? I need to draw something again one of these days as well, but I have problems keeping the paper "clean" and it irks me when you can see stuff like erased lines in the picture. Or is it some kind of digital post-production trick?
Sanford Eagle #2 (the "rubbery" pencils) I like them because no matter how hard you press the lines are never that dark and are easily erased.
Blue BIC pens are my favorite for sketching.
Papermate Flair for inking large images, and finepoint for more detailed things.
I usually darw in pencil first followed by inking. I keep an extra piece of paper under my hand so I don't smudge.
I ink from left to right (I'm right handed) and usually "bulk out" a few of the edge lines afterward.
Finally I rub the whole sheet down with a big pink eraser.
Some of the images scanned are "altered" after scanning. Alot of the older pics had a bunch of stains/scratches/specks that I removed just to make them look clean.
The image of the Farseer has a soda stain at the top of his... magic fire stuff.
The black/gray/white pictures are done with Prismacolor Graphic Design markers (shades 10% to 90% with a finepoint afterward).
The 10% marker does not show up in a scan. This allows me to draw and image using only marker.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll try to get my hands on some of those pens you mentioned! I work with much the same steps as you, so here's hoping I can improve with them.

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a few days. I've been busy with life and painting (finished a GUO).
I have a few marine pictures finished but I just need to get them to my friend with a scanner...
And then he needs to scan them at work the following day...
It's a pain but they'll be up soon enough.

Wow! The Terrmie and SW you put up recently are crazy good! You need to send some stuff to GW so we can get your art in our Codices, it sure beats a lot of the art in the Tyranid Codex!!!

Thanks you for your support!
Sorry it's taking me so long to post new things.
I've been bogged down with comission work and life.
At least I'm being a good little hobbiest and I'm finally getting some paint on models.
Once I'm finished with this squad of boys (80% complete) I can start inking (and thus finishing) alot of these requests.
Also I have a hard time actually getting things scanned. I have to drive two towns over and drop the drawings off at a friends who then takes them to another state to be scanned at his work.
Then I have to pick them up the next day and post from his house. But I think You'll all be please with what I'm working on.
But as I said alot of the marine art will be posted first. Wardragoon your Commisar Grot will be in the next wave aswell.
Thanks everyone for your patients.

Hurr! Ogryn Bone 'Ead!

I think an I.G. recruitment poster would be cool.
Maybe a picture or Ollanius Pius standing in front of Horus with nothing but a lasgun, and the words "We Die Standing".
Or maybe a Chaos Space Marine/Cultist menacing a civilian woman and her daughter and the words. "We fight because they can't"
It would be double cool, since I could print out small copies and add them to terrain.
Anyways, good job keep up the good work!

That was fast! Great job.
Now to add a suitably grim dark caption.
