FInished the new trench network that GW released last week. Bought two of the big box deal sets and i must say these are some sweet terrain pieces!

Playing a 8k game on wednesday with the trech systems so this should be interesting! Ill have some new pics to post then also!

When painting this many marines i have to aim for table quality not show lol It would take many years to paint a show case chapter army by yourself.

The colors for these were simple, I used dawnstone to dry brush the whole model, then did the silver parts. The white parts were also done here, After that it was all sprayed twice with nulin oil.

Followed by white and silver highlights, Gold rims were added. Then the tan and red parts were painted to add some small simple and quick details.

For the regular green marines, I'd suggest looking into army painter's Color Primer spray. Maybe the quickshade dip too.

Thats a good idea! Ill have to look into the colored primer and see what they have to offer!

Well, they have a Color Primer spray titled: Angel Green. which of course is a perfect match for Caliban Green. If you do go that route, think about grabbing the equivalent bottle of paint. It is a 100% match so it is great for touchups where the spray missed.

Do you know how thick it sprays? ive already primed everything black from GW primer, not sure how that will effect the details of the models? I plan to spray caliban green through a spray gun and that wont take much time either.

If you already have a airbursh and enough paint, maybe just stick with that.
I've used Army Painter's primer and GW's primer, and they are both very similar. I do sometimes use the color primer over a primed black model and it hasn't ruined any details for me so far.

I sprayed 300 marines green tonight. My hands are officially green as well since i ran out of gloves haha Ill post some pictures up soon of a finished model example.

Also saw the new DA models and i have to say some look great and some not so much.. I hope they have good rules at least.

Its been a long time since ive updated this! Sorry everyone, I Just finished moving into my new house and got the hobby room set back up.

I picked up another 8k in the New Dark Angel models. Some look great when built and some don't. Not a big fan of most of the new rules though the flyer models look amazing personally.

I through up some pics this weekend of a big game im playing with 10k DA vs 10K Eldar.

After reading just the first page I am very jealous. I am working on recreating the entire DA Chapter as well and I'm trying to make it as accurate as possible to the known information.

You are much further than I (full time student and employee, go figure =( ). I just purchased another tactical squad, they are going to be painted today. But what I have done is very little in comparison to your project and needless to say, you will beat my project completion date by months! I love what you got going on, keep up the fantastic job!
