Consistency. check.
Clean edge highlighing. check.
Good colour composition. check.
Subtle touches that make each army unique while still sticking to appropriate "fluff". check.
Awesome website which holds even more pictures. check.

You sir, are a true inspiration and something that I, as a hobbyist, can only aspire to become.

Thank you very much for the kick in the pants.

These pics are amazing. I must say sir, you're work is very impressive!
I think my most loved pic has got to the your Thousand Sons army. The dusty sand covered concept gives the army a great depth and character. I also love the Valk Copter conversion. So simple, and yet it works so well. Congratulations on a great year - here's to this year being even better!

Absolutely incredible work. You are such an inspiration to myself and dozens of members on Dakka Dakka alone, never mind all those that log onto your website every month. I feel privaliged that would share such amazing work with us here on Dakka.

Thank you and here's to a productive 2013, cannot wait for your upcoming work!

Just out of interest, do you paint just for yourself? Or are you fed up by the end of the week?

Thanks!

Yes I take a month or so and do my Adepticon army every year, and I do piddle around on my own stuff during the rest of year. But really my itch to create is scratched by commissions so I just don't often feel the need unless there is an army I really want to play. I currently have at least a dozen armies as well, so I have plenty to play with.

And no I never get sick of it, in fact if I go more than a couple days without painting I get mild withdrawals!

Yep. I can scarcely comprehend producing that quality or that quantity, let alone both. Even the presentation is mind-blowing, both in terms of photography and the background terrain (even discounting the dedicated display boards). It must take ages to set up for a photo session.

Your work is disgustingly pretty. I don't even know where to start. The Alligator people look amazing, the subtle grey carapaces on the Tyranids looks oddly appealing, and the dust-covered Thousand Sons vehicles look fantastic. I didn't managed to take everything in all on one go, but overall you are a massive inspiration, and I'm intending to crank out my Ork army pretty quickly, You've proved it can be done without sacrificing quality.

It does take a bit, but I do have a routine, and really thats half the fun so I dont notice so much.

And thanks for the compliments.

Everything looks really great. I am jealous of your painting time. How do you do it? Do you you just paint? I mean do you have a day job or anything or is painting your full time job? If so you must never actually work because that is too badass to be "work" lol. BTW I love the sandy Thousand sons and that display board with the hatchet and the wood. WTF your killing me here. great stuff. My lips are gonna be chapped from all of this butt kissing so i better go.

Great job!

Looks like witchcraft to me, the paint has clearly been enchanted to jump straight out of the pots and create the most stupefyingly magnificent armies imaginable.

Absolutely brilliant, not sure anything in my stack of 25 years of White Dwarf matches, well, any of your armies. Beyond superb somewhere.

How is this even humanly possible? How many hours a day do you spend painting? I am seriously asking.

Such a great collection of inspiring endeavours.

MY fave piece is the display board with the hatchet stuck in it, increadibly eye catching and really mood evoking for the army displayed.

Not as many as you think. When you have painted as much as I have, most of the time saved is just not having to think about it. As I posted before it is like being a mechanic. A shade tree mechanic is going to spend 2 hours on 1 rusted bolt and be cursing and swearing, whereas a full time mechanic that enjoys it has done so many cars he can do the whole job in the same amount of time and half asleep.

Any idea how many points you painted up in 2012?

I would be surprised if it were under 100,000 points. I never really thought about it, so I ran down the images and did a rough count. Smaller armies I estimated conservatively at 2000, anything Privateer as 1000, and with the Titans and recent two armies it should easily top 100,000+ if you put it all in army builder.

Great question, it made me think, as I never really thought to take a guess at it. Thanks

The accolades for all of your work have already been richly and justly provided by others. I would just like to say that out of all of this amazing work, the guy with the coconut halves from the "Munchy Gutsmen" really is delightful

This thread makes me emotional, there is so much well done stuff here, every time I look I am still just completely mystified. Bravo Sir.

"You are like a son and together we have all but conquered the galaxy. Now the time has come for me to retire to Terra. My work as a soldier is done and now passes to you for I have great tasks to perform in my earthly sanctum. I name you Warmaster and from this day forth all of my armies and generals shall take orders from you as if the words came from mine own mouth. But words of caution I have for you for your brother Primarchs are strong of will, of thought and of action.

You've got some amazing paintjobs here, and nothing subpar to speak of. Every army is unique and beautiful, and that's a staggering amount of output for one year. I do have to say though, one particular army caught my eye:

The army is too small for me to really see, and I'm not really into the world of square bases and ranked formations, but the presentation on this army is excellent. I don't know if you were responsible for it, but that display board is fantastic.

I guess this is your job, but still dude, that is some prolific high grade painting right there.

My army has had 3 codexes and I STILL have more unpainted than painted models.

Top stuff, and here's looking to 2013!
