It's a beautifully painted bastion, but it still looks very imperial. I think it needs to look like it is being assimilated and broken down, add some tenticals etc

I didn't tentacle it up because that would look very odd if used in my dark eldar, tau, or imperial armies. If it was just for my nids, I would have most likely scratch built it to look the part.

Hmm. I like it! I would say it could do with some Niddy creepers/fungus growing up it. Not much, just enough to hint that all is not well with this structure.

Have just come across this blog.

The carapace work on the converted hive guard is very well executed, and the paint scheme really looks good when they are in a big group, I like the organic feel and look of the army.

I like your take on the zoanthrope as well, reminds me a bit of the xenomorphs from Aliens in that pose etc.

The purple faces... well they look awesome on those Ymargl stealers, so I vote yes
