I can't fine the image, but there is some picture out there that shows a trench/crater filled with guard bodies and the last guy of the squad putting the lasgun to his head as some enemy swarms in the background towards him. I think the darkness of that image is wonderful and defines my vision of 40k. If anybody can find that image again for me, I would be eternally grateful.
The one with the Tyranids? I do believe it was posted in this thread already.
No, I saw that one. It is a similar idea, but it was drawn very realistically.

It's got a laser sight, so it's a combination melta/las/bolter.

Alicia Dominica " You have committed the ultimate heresy. Not only have you turned your back on the emperor and stepped from his light, you have profaned his name, and almost destroyed everything he has striven to build. You have perverted and twisted the path he has laid for mankind to tread, As your own decrees have stated, there can be no mercy for such a crime,no pity, for such a criminal, I renounce your lordship, you walk in the darkness and cannot be allowed to live, your sentence has long been overdue,,,,,,,,,,,,

I was wondering if someone could help me. I'm looking as hard as I can, for a wallpaper version, of the image of the guardsmen in the trench being attacked by daemons. The only images I can find, are around 400 by 200, and I'd need one much more detailed (Ideally 1900 - 1200, but any larger detail one would be fine)
Please help!

Loved this image when it was the box art, the idea of a full on armoured assault by Space Marines is awesome!

Here's a 1900X1200, original image is too small for me to make any better
Any artwork from the SoB codex, Daemonifuge, Lone wolves, deff Sqwadron and the cover of Titan: god machine (or something like that) are full of 40k flavour.

There's one of a Chaos Reaver titan looming over a small Death Korps platoon, pretty awesome, not sure if its a drawing or a bunch of minis shopped on a background tho.

Thoroughly appreciating all the posts gang. I have the book that Arbitrator's from the cover of, a really good DH supplement
and Bob, I think that sounds like one of the cunningly-made FW illustrations. They do lovely ones that blur the line between diorama and illustration.

Run a whole lot of wfrp and other rpg's, play The Woods and Kill Team, gather and look mournfully at imperial guard knowing I'll never finish enough to use them on the tabletop |
