Yeah I keep forgetting how long it's gonna be

It may be quite a wait but by the time the game releases we will be hopefully very well organized so there is a slight upside to waiting and getting info slowly so we can assimilate it as it comes.

I wonder if/when the game releases, will you all be able to just assume your post? I mean, how much time are you going to have to spend shooting your bolters at orks before you get your jump pack, or stealth field? Will you be able to automatically assume your warlord status? Or will you have to achieve a certain rank before you get voted in?? lol I HATE that its still 2+years away!!

I guess 2 possible things

1. You can short cut/rank up faster depending on your rank in a guild. So if I'm a guild leader I'd get to that specification (like chaos lord) faster while a raptor in a guild would get assault class faster

2. I'm going to end up putting a crap ton of Monet into it to end up assuming my role of leader

No game has ever given advancement bonuses just because you're a clan/guild/alliance leader.

Would love to be a aspiring champion for noise marines or an aspiring champion for raptors

Raptor it is, when more members join you can be champion.

I said raptor champion this means war.

There cam be multiple champions, I'm not deciding on specific ranks until the game is out and you can show your skills.

Almost forgot: willing to try an IW Warsmith if available, since there are a lot of raptors and you don't look like you would miss one. So, let your damaged tanks, dreadnoughts, bikes, titans and whatnot come to me, lol.

Do you mean warpsmith? Warsmiths are iron warriors equivalents of captains yeah sure something new is always good!

Well, I didn't mean taking the role of commander, but more like the class itself if they have it. It seems interesting and I'm fairly curious as to how they implement certain stuff. Since the IW were the first Chaos Legion to be announced, I can't see how they might not include one of their main figures. I'll leave commanding to people with actual strategic experience

Ok, sure. I think we are almost reaching 10 guys, almost a second squad!

But, I'm currently in talks with a group I used to play with to join us and that means a large amount of new members. But a lot of them are saying that they don't like the fact that we are a ready-made legion, so ill go with what everyone else had been pushing me to do and got for a custom warband

For the name, a lot of warbands have X of X like slayers of graballax or sons of sektoct so anybody have ideas for names?

And for colours I'm thinking just have a shoulder pad a certain colour and for higher ranks they can have full colours to show there devotion.

Maybe we can be an iron warriors based warband like sons of perturabo as a name, or warriors of perturabo.

Any ideas?

This sounds pretty sweet, too bad its just so far away. If I'm not too busy with uni and things when the game finally comes round to being release, count me in.
Just give me the biggest gun and a target to aim for
Or failing that, I guess sticking with a raptor theme wouldn't be too bad.

You know, you could just go for the Red Corsairs, since they're as fluffy a band of renegades if any, who include amongst their ranks Legion marines and new traitors from Chapters no one's even heard of. Seriously. This will let everyone just go with whatever aesthetic they want.

If that's what others want, but IMO Im not a fan of them, I'll go with them. If people want them though I'll do it.

IMHO it's the best way to cater to the different factions, aesthetics, and legions everyone wants to play.

Plus Red Corsairs sounds kinda cool and have interesting fluff and background... Plus I have a soft spot for red colours

A lot of Red Corsairs merely use red to cross out any previous iconography. This is why I say that the Red Corsairs are going to be a good way to have the most diverse colors and aesthetics for everyone to pursue fluffily. Otherwise they can use the red-and-bronze color scheme that the Red Corsairs have, which is very similar to that of the Word Bearers. Here's two images that explain what I mean:

Yeah, you should. Give it a cool title name or something. I'd be a lot more interested in playing a Red Corsair over a Word Bearer, to be honest with you!
