Ok, thing is the imperial bastion fortification has a composition of 1 imperial bastion model. That is a specific model and it is sold with assembly instructions. Those instructions do not give you the option of placing the heavy bolters anywhere but one per side.
My tactical marine model instructions don't give me the options of placing lascannons on them. :( Guess I am only able to use rocket launchers on them, because the assembly instructions only show that option.

WE ARE 40k YEARS IN THE FUTURE. ASSUME the Mek, weird boy, mechanicum, servitor or whatever is smart enough to make it adaptable to its best situation. 40k years in the future, you know the battle field and how to set up an apposing attack to the best of your surroundings... A Space ship drops the bastion wherever you want it at the site of the enemy (how else would you explain 2 opponents fighting both using bastions? did they have a cease fire to give each other time to fortify their position? If so then it confirms all the more that 4 HB facing one direction would be probable) ... and please spare me the epic argument of "dont use logic to defy 40k rules"

Then stop breaking the rules of YMTC to justify your position.

3. Never, ever bring real-world examples into a rules argument.
- The rules, while creating a very rough approximation of the real world, are an abstraction of a fantasy universe. Real world examples have no bearing on how the rules work. So quit it.

*bursts though room with axe* HEEEAAARRRS JHONNY!!!

Wow.. we really are insulting each other aren't we..

*sits back and gets out the popcorn*

Way I see it? if it looks cool then I will play it, if it looks slapdash job then I won't, besides if I want 4 heavy bolters, I will just instead ally with IG and pick up a punisher as they are basically the same except that the Punisher exchanges AP for even more shots

Either way, I don't see many people taking Bastions to take to tourneys just for their Heavy bolters and even if they did, its gonna give away a one shot kill anyway

Too many insults and pointless posts.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
