Two stick out in my mind; one was from one of the Space Wolf books, the one where Sven (Ragnar's buddy) rips a heavy stubber off it's mount and holds back several platoons of traitor guard.

Second, would have to be the Gaunts book that has them on a jungle planet and Rawne along with some other guys end up in an ancient Eldar temple fighting along side Eldar (naturally because the Elves are tricksy, Rawne and company believe they're fighting on Tanith during the Chaos invasion). I think this one is probably my favorite if only because most of the 1st get to fight for 'Tanith' whereas in truth they were evacuated before they had a chance to, sort of moving when you think about it.

I do love how they depict the Dire Avengers as being rather surprised when the Tanith siddle up and fight with them. That was a great battle, where they inflicted crazy enemy casualities because of their love of their lost world.

What scares me about this whole battle though is that the Eldar who convinced this whole group of Tanith to believe they were on Tanith with all their senses was a mere Warlock.
