The part about no one doing background checks. If you buy from a dealer with an FFL, a background check has to be done for every purchase. That is not the same thing as a felon getting their gun rights back after doing their time.

And how did obama's call to get background checks at gun shows go? Oh ya, it got shot down by the senate. So violent felons who do not have their rights back can still easily buy guns. Ok so some people actually do checks, amount of good it does when you can still get guns without them? None.

If you buy from an FFL dealer at a gun show you need a background check. The only time you don't need one is if it's a private sale between two non-FFL individuals. No matter what law you pass, there still exists the possibility that someone will sell someone else a gun without a background check.

Is that the standard MO for these particular terrorists? I know that there is a common thread of Islam between them, but I was under the impression that they were a very different from Middle Eastern terrorist organizations.

I thought China had plenty of armed guards. Didn't half the attackers wind up getting shot? Do we have any word on how long the attack went on? I don't think I heard anything about that.

I wouldn't have thought that China would be shy about arming their guards.
I'm also wondering what people think armed guards could possibly have done to react to this situation. Packed mass transit station + multiple assailants. All the deaths probably occurred before anyone had the slightest idea what the hell was happening.
Even if you knew what was happening, you still have to get to the assailants, who could just be in the crowd of people that you're trying to push through.

China..Leaders or whatever the government body is..I would not be surprise if they use arm guards with rubber bullets. No 2nd Revolution happening. My last platoon I had a Chinese former National who did time in the Chinese Red Army Talk about a different way of thinking
