Oooh, that claw arm is big. For some reason I thought it was an entirely new metal cast, is it just restic with a metal add-on then? The zombies are just easy to work with and effective, cannot wait to see someone paint a mass of 100 odd of them.

And...more DA please.

Yeah- I'll just stick to DZ strike team size force thanks lol. He's one of the original Marauder models from Deadzone, I just pulled an arm off and whacked that on . Needs some filling on his arm pit though. I also got some metal head options as well as some bub snikt claws (which look awesome I may add!). Can't praise the zombies enough. Really nice kit.

DA army wise, I'm in the middle of painting a bike Chaplain to lead my Ravenwing into battle. I got my hands on one from eBay for a pretty good steal of £8 or £9. Not too bad. I was painting up his faithful steed last night. Not much left to do on there.

To be clear, it's this model

On a further note I've put in a pledge for the Dungeon Saga: Dwarf King's Quest by Mantic. A mighty pledge of $155- the Dungeon Master pledge+Crypt Stalkers add on+ Legendary Heroes of Dolgarth. I may also throw in some more pennies for the Warlords of Galahir add on package for $25.
Who DOESN'T like a small horde of murderous greenskin barbarians??

I'm probably gonna get the base game and however many expansions they come out with for Dungeon Sagas. Could use a nice fantasy board game, with options for expansion etc blah blah.

What do you already have coming from Mars Attacks!? You've got enough left to pick up escalation if you didn't already (or another one, it was one of the best for the money sets), a stompy robot or two, multiple giant bugs, I think you could get 3packs of the trucks or saucers for 50 couldn't you? Also there were those resin crashed cars from antenocitties, both of those would eat 50 bucks.

I've got the $50 MA scenery pack due to be delivered at some point. Attached is the list sent by Mantic. I'm thinking MOARR DZ scenery and some bugs as "dangerous terrain" for 40K.

That Chaplain is a fine model. I should get around to painting my one one day, so I'm keen to see what you do with yours!

Not a lot really, other than putting Ravenwing bling on the front mud guard and a Dark Angels power pack. Managed to get one with the pennant though which should look cool when its on (I miss those!)
Maybe some more (!) purity seals. The chaplain's armour is already blinged up to the eyeballs as it is so there's not much to be done there.
I've left the grenade launcher off as I feel it just gets in the way. I'll have some grenades mag locked to his hip instead.

As another plus, it came with x3 Umbra pattern (big beefy things with stocks on)boltguns and x3 combat knives-I use the term loosely, they're bloody nasty cleaver things! (which I'm giving to some of the veterans in various tactical squads.)

Oh yeah! Not much difference in scale either which is good I may give my brother the knives though thinking about it. They seem good Plague Knife material

Some more pretty dollies to look at

I love the metal Mawbeasts from Mantic. Much beefier and more angry looking! Rather liking the claws for my Marauder commando too

Some of you requested more DA pics so I've thrown up a WIP shot for you all for Mr Beat-stick biker
That's it for now. Off to update the Heresy Minis KS thread now..

Some of these DZ models and bits were put in my KS Pt 2 box because they'd missed some stuff out in Pt 1. I ended up with x2 Bomb Mawbeasts but no normal Mawbeasts. I was also missing some CC arms for my Commandos

Yeah in the Marauder deck, there's a stat card for a Mawbeast bomber and a Mawbeast. Should've been one of each.

Yeah I knew there were cards and vaguely remember seeing one w/o a bomb... just so much to sift through to know for sure. Meh, I figure the bomb can just as easily represent a power cell for the jaws and saw

Mawbeasts kinda remind me of this guy from Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal. Or at least how he would look on steroids.

Sweet, looks solid and I like the freehand. I think I have one of those laying around now that I look at him closer.

I really like some of those conversion parts for the Marauders, they really serve to a nice bit of variety to the faction. The big gun looks especially badass, quite similar to that of the Hulk. Have you had any balance issues with the metal add ons to the restic bodies?

Good work on the Biker Chap, it must have been around at least 18 years (it is certainly in my GW 1996 catalogue) and it has stood the test of time. Nice to see one of the old pennants in use too.

Cheers all for the feedback!

Yeah quite like the new bits for my Marauders. Makes them look really Orky. I may consider getting a Hulk but I won't use that orrible looking head Mantic made for it. I'll most likely put a 40K Ork head on that.
Balance wise, the metal bits don't really cause much problems. I will say this for Mantic, their bases are good and chunky.

I was quite surprised I got hold of the biker chaplain with the pennant in the kit. GW appears to have discontinued that model fully now. I guess the moulds have packed in at last.

As for the Mantic credit I had for Mars Attacks! KS, I went for the following
Any 3 Giant Bugs for $20- x2 Giant Ants and x1 Giant Spider
x1 DZ Scenery standard pack (MOAR!) $25
x2 DZ Scenery- Accessory Sprues $10

Nope, and I'm not sure if I put in for courier, and it's going to my parents house (kind of in the country so nobody would bother it), so I probably won't know anything until it magically arrives, I just hope since it likely isn't courier they'll actually leave it instead of putting a tag on the door.
