Any fan of WHFB should be all over this one, as it is serious dark fantasy. The first three novels are fantastic. I've heard mixed reviews of the latter books, but the first three books, which comprise the campaign against The Lady, are great. The first three books could be done as a trilogy very easily, though the films would have to have a hard R rating (no PG-13 cop-outs here).

I've always thought Roger Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber series could be turned into an incredible film franchise.

Amber could be a HUGE undertaking. How many books were there? Over 10 I believe....but yeah...great series!

Icerigger by ADF could also be fun. I believe Barlowe, in his Guide to Extraterrestrials, drew up a pretty sweet Tran.

Also....a great series is The Belgariad by David Eddings.

And after that of course is The Mallorian series.

Who even cares about all of them? Everyone knows it's all about Oberon and his shenanigans. That's what I'd most want to see.

Monster Hunter International series. It's already written like a summer blockbuster, how could you go wrong?

The Apotheosis Trilogy- Would likely be done best as a mini series.

The Dark Tower to get out of development hell.

Saxon Stories, by Bernard Cornwell (author of the Richard Sharpe series).
Guards of the Shadowlands, by Sarah Fine.

Both might work better as TV series though.
