The Emperor's Children, post-Laer.

The World Eaters? They'll kill you all, sure, but it will be quick.

The Night Lords? They'll instill terror on your force sure, but you can surrender to the Night Lords. They'll take prisoners. Plus they're cowards. When faced with a force that can actually fight them on equal terms they will flee like the scoundrels they are.

The Emperor's Children once under the thrall of She Who Firsts won't kill you slowly. They'll prolong the suffering of the entire planet for as long as they possibly can. They'll slowly grind your body into paste to be used as narcotics, and then continue the slow, twisted slaughter. The promise of pain does nothing to sway the Emperor's Children like it does the Night Lords. They relish it. Breaking their bones and slicing apart their flush makes them shudder for one sluggish moment, only for them to drive their blades in your groin and pull you close, bringing your face to them. You see nothing of the Marine's face, for the one worn is not his own. You see nothing but their gleeful, dilated eyes, literally feeling an arousal or high from watching and feeling you bleed out so close to them.

There is no more terrifying or horrible Legion to face than the Emperor's Children.

I thought Magnus was letting the Wolves destroy his Legion before he just couldn't take it anymore and decided to fight back?

Correct me if I'm wrong, as this is second-hand information and I haven't read any books dealing with Prospero.

I always thought of the Wolves as the loyalist version of the world eaters, albeit less ferocious and actually capable of functioning like an army.

Anyway, I voted Night Lords because they skin people alive. They once killed a member of every household on a planet AFTER it had complied to teach them all a lesson. Seriously over-the-top stuff, but that's why they're my favourite.

My less biased opinion would be either:

- Ultramarines (due to their sheer abundance of man-power compared to other legions).
- Death Guard (Because poisons are scary).
- Iron Hands (Because the terminator is scary. That's the movie with Arnie, not the armour, by the way).

I really think that the Iron Hands have the potential to be quite scary with their augmented parts. If a Space Marine wasn't scary enough, imagine one with scary robot bits!
