No mention of Ed, Edd n Eddy? For shame. That was probably one of my favorites. Interestingly, it was also the last major cartoon to be made with actual, physical paint and ink.

Honestly, 90s cartoons were crap. Rugratz, and the Craig McKraken shows were good, along with some other ones, but I honestly felt that the cartoons airing while I was 11-15 were a lot more well produced and coherent. Foster's Home for imaginary friends is one of my favorites. The characters were charming and likable.

I have fond memories of a bunch of 80's cartoons (Cowboys in spaace? Forget Firefly, give me Bravestarr) but for me...

Freaking BATMAN!! Screw the rest of those pansy cartoons, the 90s wins the cartoon wars because of melon-fething batman!!

... This. In my mind the 90's saw an explosion of fantastic cartoons, and Batman was the pick of the bunch. It was like a revelation compared to other action cartoons up to that point.

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

Definitely gonna go 90s. Beast Wars. Batman and Superman (I felt both were quite good). Gargoyles. Plus it was the decade we started getting DBZ and Gundam. 90's rock.

There are seriously not enough of us on here loving the Batman 90s cartoon. If that wasn't your deciding vote, you should be thrown in a vat of laughing-acid until the problem goes away.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I voted 90's because of the shows I grew up watching. Gargoyles, Rocko's Modern Life, Batman, Wild Thornberries, Fairly Oddparents, Hey Arnold, the list cold go on. But I also like a lot of the 00's. As I write this, I'm watching Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated with my 5 year old. And Avatar: The Last Airbender is my favorite cartoon, and Batman: The Brave and the Bold is up there too.

Well... My bad. Still, it hasn't been mentioned enough.

Otherwise, I'm a 90's kids, I grew up on all the 90's Marvel cartoons. Eek the cat (though more importantly THE TERRIBLE THUNDER LIZARDS) Samurai Pizza cats... all that good stuff.

That said, I still love Dinosaucers and dinorider.

Let me just add this to prove why the 90's win..

I just did a search on this thread... I have found a great crime...

No one has mentioned.... THE TICK.

You speak the truth, though The Centurions will always hold a special place in my heart.

I would go with about 85-95 personally... so many good shows then.... altho im suprised nobody said adventures of the galaxy rangers yet....

and the music video for the song...

I had a 'block' of anime (japanimation) on the public access channel here when I was a kid ( early 80's) so I got to see a lot of japanese shows like Zeta Gundam

battle of the planets

volts V

super sentai shows... this is the one I remember the most

and who could forget robotech...yea I know Harmony Gold gets a lot of flack for their legal shenanigans but really back in 85-86 95% of people had no clue about Macross and stuff

there was no internet, so if you wanted to watch this stuff you had to hope for the best on bad VHS dubs...( btw Genesis Climber MOSPEADA aka new gen was always my fav transforming motorcycles FTW baby!)

Didn't vote because of the ageist nature of the poll. Left out the 70's and 60's.

Hint*- Star Blazers was from the 70's and the ground work for most of the good anime that came later can be found in the 60's and 70's.

To be fair, the OP couldn't include ALL decades of cartoons, or else Frazz would be voting for the 20s, as Steam Boat Willie was clearly his favorite
